I think the return on leasing waves is actually pretty terrible right now. Unless we start getting a ton of traffic and transactions to boost fees leasing is not something I'm excited about. I am excited that the LPOS system is working and that is huge props to the dev team and Sasha.

I feel like if I have 10000k in waves I can sell that for $7000 and make 3 GPU mining rigs that will net me $7k in 2.5 months, have a wallet full of tokens and I now have 18 GPUs paid off that I can continue to mine profitable coins with or sell second hand on eBay. I wont be selling my waves since we're making lots of good progress and I'd really like to permanently trade my coins on DEX from now on instead of using polo and coinbase, but just my thoughts on the stat of LPOS right now.

If it aren't serious projects without any value it's just some garbage coins.

Yeah but some these garbage tokens actually have DEX buy orders for it! That is insanity!

dump away

like my luckywaves, i created it , give some free away ( iam still thinking of a nice project for these coin)  but i can sell and buy it via wallet , Woot Woot Smiley

I AM SORRY MATE BUT THIS IS CALLED SPAMMING ,PPL PLS  STOP MAKING USELESS TOKENS..IT'S BAD  FOR WAVES REP, " iam still thinking of a nice project for these coin" FIRST THINK YOUR PROJECT THEN MAKE ANN ETC...AND THEN THE LAST THING YOU DO IS TO CREATE A TOKEN

ooo how cute your talking to me, i had an ignore button on you , now i know why , dude ( or girl) why do you even bother to be here, you were here to bash waves, and now your  defending it ......pffffff.....

AND what i do with my waves is up to me , and these arent spam, i did spam anyone with this ( ok few i give them , but not as spam as more appreciation)

when you send tokens with 0 value to users ...IT'S CALLED SPAM ....SORRY...and this makeσ waves project looks bad and not very pro...if you are a waves investor you must be smart ....it's my opinion...maybe i am stupid ..no worrys

To you the community made you look like a whale and it seems that fame gave you a lot of nonsense. The truth is that you are really only a troll that takes advantage of those who are afraid to lose their money on account of lies like you. Do yourself a favor and do real trading and if you do not know learn that you are still on time.

MATE YOU HAVE NO BRAIN ....GO PLAY WITH PS4 ...YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT ....! EVEN THE GUY CREATED THE TOKENS  UNDERSTAND THAT IS SPAMMING ...." i did spam anyone with this ( ok few i give them , but not as spam as more appreciation)" LOL NO WORRY YOU GUYS KEEP MAKING STUPID TOKENS ....ITS VERY GOOD FOR WAVES PLATFORM USERS AND ECOSYSTEM  LOL

THERE WILL BE ......

What's the profit for example 1000 Waves or 10.000 Waves if you lease your coins? If it's profitable I might think about buying more coins. Is there a minimum Waves limit to lease it? It seems a little confusing to me, I'm new to this LPOS thing.

I run a node with ~60.000 Waves, the daily return is about 240 MRT on average at the moment, so that's 7200 MRT in a month.
That's currently 0.144 BTC worth of MRT. I also pick up some fees but that's not much.

Leasing, you could receive 50-85% of that, depending on what the pool is paying.

Now, you could say it's not much but the MRT price will probably rise in the future.

And it's "free money" if you already hold the Waves in your wallet anyway.

Is it easy to setup a node for noobs? I use Chrome's Wavesliteapp, do I need to run original Waves wallet for that? Is it too technical, if it's easy can you show me a tutorial?
Edit: I saw a video tutorial for leasing Waves but is it safe to send these pools our WAVES? They also take some cut, I don't want to pay fee for them. What's the best solution?

People, Waves isn't coming to PoloniEx... PoloniEx is coming to Waves.

There have been some amazing concept designs created like this example. DEX will get some basic UI improvements in the next month, and stuff like this might be in the new few months.

when they update dex to this it will change all game

This is absolutely the case...they should get a really good UI designer and knock that DEX out of this world. That would change this crypto game forever.

I'm sure with the new coin leasing they could figure out how to margin trade and short on the DEX aslo.

Thanks, worked very well!

You should use a vaild HTTPS certificate. The one you use gives me a security warning using Google Chrome.

The first faucet event has been launched here for May the 4th...

Is there any road map by when the DEX will be released?

You don't send your coins to the pools, you "lease" them (there's a special "lease" tab in the new Waves client that makes it easy), they stay in your wallet and leasing can be cancelled any moment.

You even still receive the monthly WCT.

Yeah, they take a fee for running the node...

If you don't want to pay a fee, run a node... but a node needs power and you need to babysit it, sometimes it shuts down, sometimes it forks and you have to keep it up to date.

So, leasing is for the crowd, running a node for the optimists.

DEX is released already, I'm trading on it for weeks now.
Only the graphics charts and other bells and wisthless are still worked on.

Those moaning about leasing not bringing in much in $ terms. Give me a break! It's free money just for having the coins sat in your bloody wallet! You don't have to do anything! You don't have to bother running a node, maintaining mining equipment, electricity costs, vpns... nothing!!! Simply copy a node address, paste and click GO... boom!... you are generating income, whilst also holding one of the most undervalued coins out there.

...Oh and a little more food for thought ...I remember someone telling recently that back in 2013 he switch off his bitcoin miners because they were was only mining 1-2 BTC's a day! Think about that for a while.

The Wave is coming.

Ouch...

But yes, that's right.

If you both lease your Waves and also buy and hold some MRT (at DEX or TIDEX) you're in the right position when it explodes.
I remember WCT was low at the start, now it's worth the same as Waves.

And also holding WavesGo tokens will give you free MRT.

A really good UI designer is the guy that came up with that concept image and many others. That concept image is just the tip of the iceberg. The designer is actually very well known in the crypto community and has done work for a lot of big projects.

The guy who designed this actually started working with WAVES team fairly recently. He flew to their offices to formalize a relationship, and has since been helping to put a roadmap together to get these designs implemented. It's going to be difficult because "pixel perfect" implementation of this design is going to require a lot of coding to connect all of this to the backend, and there are features in his concepts that aren't built into the platform yet.

BUT! It's all being worked on. We should be seeing some hints of dramatic change in the next few months or so. No timelines have been set in stone by any means, but this is what's being worked towards.

I would like to know this too, I have set for leasing 2500 waves but I didn't see anything after 1 day

Most pools pay once a week and it takes 1000 blocks (16,66 hours) before you start earning.

So it's not suprising that you didn't see anything after 1 day.

Also, no one can definitively answer the question, "how much will I make staking" because all of the factors that influence that are totally variable. How many other people are staking, how much your pool pays, whether or not you're solo staking, how many transactions happen on the network...all of that fluctuates a lot.

The base answer right now is "not very much" which is as it should be because the barriers to entry in staking are so low and everybody's playing with it. That said...no matter how little, you'll still get more than if you don't stake. Smiley

Is Waves going to integrate someway to pre-screen all these new tokens before distribution?

People shouldn't be able to create tokens with the same name as a legitimate one...

I.E. I received a "WBTC" (Identifier: G6F52cNqSi7v2kuj2anzyKkYgbhsijWvCJDD3WvKzjLH) and a "Bitcoin" (Identifier: 3y7oak8nrFNWnjWVsH7TKL8poXK4oBEUE24UxKdFwpyX) which are obviously not legitimate. Creates a lot of confusion...

I'm all for receiving free stuff but, these random worthless tokens are cluttering up my asset portfolio.

I would have to agree with this, it does create a lot of confusion.
