Yes for me their is also no other options because in my local area there are no bitcoin stores where I can spend them out for real things.
I think its just a matter of time but it will take some time, the bitcoin need to get bigger as fast as possible.

you did not pay for ebay with bitcoin, did you? because AFAIK they do not accept btc at all. So I assume you bought these goods using a bitcoin debit card, right ?

Sadly there's no shops near me that accept bitcoins.
Everywhere around me people think it's a scam and something will take it.

Many people here actually do use BTC "in real life."

It is meant for spending online -- that IS the real world way to spend BTC.

I would like to see a poll about who has access to goods & services in their country with BTC.

I'd really like to know where all the contributors to this thread live -- especially  those who say there are no ways for them to spend BTC.

Please identify your country or continent, if you're willing.

Bitcoin startups should take note!!!!!!!!!

I haven't spent bitcoin in real life as there are no stores that accept it here. I don't expect any to start accepting it anytime soon. The cost to these stores aren't ready to put anymore expenses on their stores and cut into their profits.
Once everybody else is using it like major chains then the stores will see it is profitable more than just a burden on their businesses.

Yeah Even I have saw that Bitrefill.com site is providing mobile recharge for most of the countries in the world by paying bitcoins.
I bought many times gadgets through online by bitcoins, I am really thankful to have a bitcoin with me and to spend.

I do wish that I could spend some coin on a cafe or real life shop. However, spending Bitcoin online is cheaper - online shopping cost less. :p.

Additionally, only a few shops in my country accept Bitcoin - from what I read.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Not yet because I am still in the investing phase and am starting from ground 0 all over again. I had some bitcoins but I invested that in my own digital currency and am trying to grow that and back it with more investments. It will take me a few years to be able to spend bitcoin on things because for now I need to accumulate a decent amount first.

I haven't got such an opportunity to use the bitcoin in real life as bitcoin acceptance has not increased much. By the coming years we can see some addition of shops accepting bitcoin over every country.

If there was also a new store that would accept bitcoin here as payment then that would be great to spend is daily but so far there no shop at the moment that is accepting it.

Yes me 2 I am also not doing that. Because it is not that acceptable in many stores and that is really bad.
I hope later in the future that the coins will be more used and that it will be more acceptable. That will be so good. But that will just only happen latter.

Well currently I think most of the brick-and-mortar shops accepting bitcoin are in first tier countries. There are a lot of online shops that accept bitcoin though, I for myself use only btc for hosting payments.
