As a matter of fact, coins that have very small amount are the ones that have very good gains. 100 satoshi coin just have to increase its price to 200 satoshi and you already have 100% gain. That's double your money. 10000 satoshi coins, when they increased by 100 satoshis in price, it's just 1% gain. It's actually pretty rare to see a coin that isn't newly released that gets pumped from 100 satoshi into something insanely profitable.

You can also try buying coins that just got recently dumped. After ICO, bounty participants dump the coin like crazy. They don't care about that buy low sell high. They just dump as soon as they get their coins. So most likely after the bounty distribution, the price of a coin is at its lowest. You can buy from that and wait for the price to go back to its ICO price and sell there. You can also hold for a long time. Some coins tend to get pumped after months of being released.

in fact it is depending on your investment, if you have invested a good amount of money, then you can trade a high value altcoin, but if your investment is not such a good one the you should try to purchase a cheap altcoin.
