The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

1. I see ETH on https://lykke.com/exchange.php  but not on my Lykke android wallet, will it be avaible soon ?
2. I actually see my Market Value in USD, but I prefer to see my value in EUR, is it possible ?

Thanks !

1. ETH-integration is planned for Q1 2017. I believe I've read somewhere that they hope to be faster, but don't quote me on that. It's possible that I mix it up with something else - at least I don't know where I could have read it. ;-)

2. There is the option to change the "base asset" under settings - but I've just tried it and it seems as if it only changes it on the exchange site. The market value is still in USD.

I've dropped both questions into the slack and once I have it I'll post it.

thanks, this option will be probably out soon. With ETH integration trading volume should go up fast

Just got the confirmation. Like you say: Market value - option for base-currency will come soon.

Ethereum-integreation is still scheduled for Q1 in 2017.

And yes, once Ethereum is available volume will increase. But there are a lot of aspects that will have positive effect on that, like margin trading, offchain-settlement, progress regarding regulations etc. Lykke will grow fast on all fronts.

Lykke Team Members Will Teach at Perm Winter School'17 on FinTech

Lykke will curate the international conference Perm Winter School, which will be held on February 3-4, 2017 in Perm (Russia). Annually, this unique event brings together international financial experts, scholars, teachers, and students of economic and IT professions.

The Seventh Winter School will focus on the topic that generates a lot of hopes and disputes today - the Financial Technologies. The event participants will discuss the blockchain technology and its revolutionizing capital markets, banking and risk management in the era of financial technologies, as well as advanced models of market microstructure.

Conference speakers include top international experts with established reputations in financial markets. Among this year’s keynote speakers are Lykke founder and CEO Richard Olsen, Lykke co-founders Sergey Ivliev, Mihail Nikulin, Anton Golub, and Lykke CBDO Demetrios Zamboglou.

“Financial technology has gained critical mass and is able to change the financial industry drastically, just as biotechnology changed the pharmaceutical industry and medicine back then, - says Sergey Ivliev, who has been the organizer and ideologist of the Perm Winter School for seven years. - Many people call the blockchain a bank killer. Is it really so? Let's try to figure it out at our winter school”.

See the details of the project, program, and registration at www.permwinterschool.ru.

I've tried the new cold-wallet-feature today. It's really nice and simple to do:

1. Private
2. +
3. Cold
4. Type in Name
5. Generate private key - Shaking the phone (priv-key will be deleted right after)
6. Writing down 12 seed words
7. Typing in 12 seed words (verification)

8. Create Wallet

Steps 1-7 can be done offline. Only for 8. it's needed to go back online.

This screenshot shows the last step (I would have to go back online to create the wallet):

This is the public Lykke-channel: https://telegram.me/joinchat/AEGiqkF-_dNaHMwQbRSnAg

...it's also possible to open private chats there. Usually the team is very busy, but especially Sergey Ivliev is pretty active and also Lena Mechenkova and Richard Olsen are on from time to time.

Lykke Integrates SolarCoin into Global Marketplace

Lykke users are now able to buy, sell, and exchange SolarCoin alongside other supported currencies using an I-Phone or Android.

Lykke, a Swiss Fintech company dedicated to building a global marketplace for trading all classes of financial assets on the blockchain, today announced the integration of the SolarCoin digital currency into the Lykke Exchange. The SolarCoin project incentivizes the generation of solar electricity through a freely obtainable financial reward.

I've done some reading but I'm still trying to figure out what this coin is about.  Are they trying to become a marketplace for trading coins/assets across various protocols?

If so, what protocols can be traded so far?  Only Colored Coins?

Is the marketplace decentralized?  If not, how is this different from Poloniex or any other centralized exchange/marketplace?

Why is the total supply of LKK over 1,200,000,000 if only 30,000,000 are available?  Where are the rest?

LKK is not that much a coin, it represents shares. 100 LKK = 1 company share.

And yes, the focus will most likely be always on colored coins. But they also connect other blockchains. Solarcoin is already available:

...and Ethereum will follow soon:

Lykke is Integrating Ethereum
https://lykke.com/city/blog/2016-09-30/lykke_integrates_ethereum

I'm not sure about further plans, but I believe it's safe to say that there will be other blockchains as well.

In the link above (Ethereum-integration) there is an explanation:

"Lykke is a semi-centralized exchange. This means that the exchange does not take possession of the traded coins (Ethereum tokens, Ethers, Bitcoins or colored coins), but needs to be trusted to match trades correctly. Lykke has a centralized matching engine and decentralized coins settlement. Matched trades are settled on the blockchain in the atomic way. Each atomic transaction must be signed by both parites and the exchange. Still to be able to trade, one should deposit his coins to Lykke exchange. Depositing coins is not equal to trusting coins. How can it be? Lykke uses multisignatures mechanism to hold client's funds. Lykke exchange can not spend any coins without a client's private key. Even if the exchange is compromised and the Lykke key is stolen, the client will not lose his coins. The second key is required to spend deposited coins. Lykke exchange also provides a refund mechanism to guarantee funds recovery in case of emergency. (...) "

Total supply is: 1,285,690,000 LKK

The company/founders hold it. I believe one could say that it technically would be available but it's not on the market.

Desktop wallets are not in development, but a web trading terminal is. Release will most likely be end of Q1 2017.

Hello,

If i want to invest (buy) Lykke Coins (LKK) right now (between 0.5 - 1 BTC), how can I do it?
Since, I only have blackberry smartphone with no wallet supported at the moment.

Can I do SEPA transfer somewhere? I heard another type of wallet could be used for that as well, but i am not sure.

thanks in advance
