yes, it was really very bad. if the whole world already use electric cars, then the sale of oil in the world will decline, and make the oil industry in the world to be reduced. however, this world is not just cars that use oil, but there are many more, so for now you need not worry

I dont think so , they are not replacing fueled car they just lessen the used of it because the air is going to be so poluted that it can give people some problem with their health especially the people with asthma . They just want to save the environment and to preserve the fresh air , do you imagine how poluted the air was ? Some people or all of you will understand if they or you are in the tropical country like here in the philippines , the temperature gets hotter like you are near from the fire .

They have some problems that we could solve on next years, electricity isn't a clean energy as anunced now a days it comes from petrol, carbon, nuclear. But if governments invest on more wind and solar farms, electricity will become more "green" energy.

If there are uses in contamination due to batteries, it is up to the government to form laws about the safe disposal.

It will completely destroy the oil industry if cars are using electric to run, remember that the oil industry is a profitable industry for the big players in the market, if they lost that it is a big investment which they lost. recycling the old batteries is not a new idea, but in my country which is currently not well developed, recycling the batteries and after that we experience them as a better batteries working better and in some area batteries repair is also available which work the same as new ones

But electricity is also expensive unless it came from a reliable source and cheap source just like solar panel.

Kuwait Says Oil Near $50 Shows OPEC's Strategy Is Working

Oil will end the year at $50 a barrel and the market will rebalance in the third or fourth quarter, Anas Al-Saleh said in an interview Wednesday in Kuwait City. Kuwait will stick to OPEC’s strategy of pumping to win customers, he said. Demand is growing and about 3 million barrels of daily crude supply have been lost to interruptions or because some producers have been priced out of the market, he said.

Think the electric car movement is strong and will push oil but it will not replace oil any time soon.
Musk will most likely face some challenges as production of his cars ramps up and it could cause some set backs.
Have to remember this is a man that pushes the boundaries and when you do that you have setbacks.
These charging stations being set up in peoples houses are going to only really be available for people with money or new homes,lot of electrical panels are tapped in any house over 25 years old due to technology needing so much power,homes where just not set up with that in mind.

Maybe he is just saying that it we are using electric cars, we can charge it in different charging situation with the mode of payment as bitcoins or maybe an electric bus where you need to pay bitcoins to get you on your destination. Not really sure what he implies but regardless we can integrate bitcoins with the electric cars, we just need to be creative to create business.
