Exactly, so big companies are doing all sorts of ways to keep electric cars from getting stuck, I'm sure electric cars are hard to get popular in the near future, it takes at least 50 years from now.

Well, it is cheaper alternative here in where I am. It is also not noisy compared to those regular cars that pass by. I think it won't take 50 years before it becomes popular.

The only drawback that I see about this electric cars are: If your battery got empty in the middle of the highway with no charging station, well, you gotta push your car til you reach those charging stations. Another one, it doesn't have enough horse power to travel in hills, and I think it will also consume much power if you are going to use electric cars at mountains if it can, and in rough roads.

Yes oil industry now facing a gradual down of supply because of electric cars but as i can see in world market now about oil, oil is still kicking and the price is keep going up here in our country so don't think oil industry will facing to much trouble

I think its good for the consumer because it will force oil companies to be more efficient and competitive which means better prices for us


however I think electric cars are far away from bringing out that sort of competition and are a very niche and small market right now.

unless there is a massive infrastructure overhaul which allows electric cars to charge up anywhere and quickly then its going to take a long time for them to compete with oil

Yes electric cars are bad for oil industry. But they are useful for the benefit of mankind. Oil industries have few years left, with the speed OPEC is drilling the oil it will come to an end within next 50 years. So what next, Five countries have already announced an end date for the sale of gasoline and diesel cars. In that case electric cars are only best option available. They make less noise and far less pollution as compared to oil consuming cars. Most electric cars can be recharged to 80 percent in about 15 to 30 minutes and they are nowhere less in power transmission. In our country government is having subsidy to electric cars but at the same time increasing taxes on oil cars. So its really bad for oil industry.

It is clear that electric cars will negatively affect oil companies, but in these days when the environmental climate is deteriorating, it will positively affect the neighborhood. I just bought my petrol car, so I do not have any interest in electric cars.

From the economy point of view it make a big loss for oil industry since we know the biggest demand of oil is from transportation industry, so still its a big loss but oil industry still have a chance to another transportation like motorcyle, plane, ship, or another industry that still using oil for work their machine. Anyway oil industry should aware because their product being produce limited now. So as a human people's try to increase their quality life and choose the eco-friendly item.

in my opinion not, because it can reduce the use of oil, I mean the supply of oil in the world gradually thinning, so the idea of using electric cars is necessary to save oil that will not always exist in this world, that's my opinion alone.

Not really, I don’t think having electric cars can bring bad business for oil industries. Based on my own research, I don’t think there are lots of people making use of electricity cars as of now, most are powered by oil.

Could be. The thing is that an electric car need to get the electricity from somewhere, so still gas and fuel will (unfortunately) be burned for energy. IMO the biggest waste ever.

However, there are other factors: many of the countries that are growing, e.g. China and other in the area, find in Oil a quick and relatively cheap source of energy, so even if electric cars get adopted in USA and Europe, I think we are still far away from a drop in demand.

Lastly, the aviation industry is growing a lot, and planes consume fuel.

I think you just hit the point. That’s true, aviation industry is really growing and that’s leading increase to the rate of demand in oil. Aeroplanes can’t be powered by electricity, if there is any plan that can be powered by electricity, then I have never heard of it. Not only planes and vehicles can be powered by oils, there are also other products that can only used with oil.

We will eventually have to use different fuels, I guess O2 plus hidrogen or similar

well we must check the main contributors of the gasoline industry. if the main contributors are electric cars than yes you are right the price will go down year by year if there won`t be any alternative industry for oil.

Electric vehicle maybe can't affect the oil industry. Because not all can afford to buy electric vehicle. So the oil industry is getting higher. But, the price of electricity is getting higher because of the demand. Maybe in near future electric vehicle are exist, so everyone can used it.

If you think about invironmental protection electric cars

I don't know too many people cooking with crude oil! But even if you mean to operate ovens or stoves, I can't imagine that to constitute a large portion of oil consumption. Transportation is the largest use of oil, and switching to electric vehicles will absolutely impact world oil production and oil price. However, it's a necessary change, and the detriments will be made up for by the benefits. When oil is no longer important, the Middle East will have that much less importance, and the United States can stop meddling in their religious wars and let them try to sort that hot mess out themselves.

You know that cars are only part of a big market out there. Yes it will affect the demand but not so much a bigger part of the industry is still not electric yet like ships and airplanes which really need oil in there operations not to mentions other machineries need to work with oil as well. Also oil conglomerates can control the supply like what they have done before which they made the price go up. If the electric and renewable industry gets bigger it could mean trouble for them.

No I think it’s good for them because oil use is too much in this world if car stop buying fuels from gas station so it can be use for some other work and I think there will be a very good impact of these car on environment because car make pollution in environment and there is no doubt that good environment give us a very good health so I think it’s a very good decision if it taken by car companies and it will also bring a very good development in trade.
