I'd stay away from it. I personally prefer Monero and Bitcoin. I don't have much to say about Monero but Bitcoin will be the one I'll trust forever. Don't trust any other alts, you never know when you can get scammed. Just saying.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.
Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).
So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

This too. Ethereum has grown so much that it has established itself as the second biggest coin in the market and the only coin that surpasses it is bitcoin. If you are looking to invest in altcoins then ETH should be the first altcoin that you put your money into before you start to invest in other coins. It is not a perfect coin but that does not mean that it is not a good coin.

I think one day Ethereum will be valued even more than BTC.
Look around - all ICOs are organized on the ETH platform and all rewards are also distributed on the ETH blockchain.
Ethereum is so fact, cheap and convenient that I can't imagine any other coin that could replace it.

Well, I think that the concerns are quite the same for all altcoins, at least right now. It is the ban from governments and decreasing popularity of any given coin. In order to change the situation, I think there is got to be a program with UN or any international organization.
