Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?

Ethereum I think is good. We can look at coinmarketcap, ethereum is in position 2 after bitcoin. Ethereum has a very high potential and popularity. So I think the ethereum is good and has the potential to be our investment place.

Ethereum is the 2nd highest market share coin after bitcoin. It is a blockchain framework, and many altcoins are already built using the ETH's framework. Meaning in the future ETH continue to rise and shine. If you are already holding ETH, continue holding it. If you are holding hundreds of it now. You will be a billionaire by 2030.

I guess for OP this suggestion will be useless now cuz he asked for a suggestion in mid 2016 but it may be good for newcomers.
Maybe they will not have hundreds of ethers but till 2030 things can turn mad, so I will agree with you

Ethereum is facing a lot of problems lately, high gas price, network congestion, transaction delays etc. But other than this it is a very good coin to hold. Ethereum is on the second number it comes after bitcoin I am telling you this just so you know how much potential this Ether coin holds. Bitcoin is the pioneer in cryptocurrency, but ETH has introduced many crucial features like smart contracts which bitcoin failed to introduce.

Ethereum  is one of the best coins there are in the crypto market,  don't see the reason as to why one should stay away from it unless you ae not a belieber, dont let the market situation fool you at all, the market is currently red and most coins have lost value as a result, including ETH,  this however does not mean that the coin will not regain its lost glory, the wise one would take advantage of the situation and get more of the coins

Etherum is second biggest crypto it is bluechip not just ordinary alt
Etherum network has much bigger capacity than bitcoin
And i think one day Etherum devs will solve that scaling problem

Be careful with ETH. The whole altcoin market have started to go down except for a selected few. I do not think ETH will be spared from the bear market in the cryptosphere. People will start converting and holding BTC because it is now starting to be bought up again.

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now.. 
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

And you made the right decision.At that time when you post its really hard to chose a coin like eth cause its new and every one belive in only btc.But eth change the game in few months and yes people start to know that its a real project and a good one also for that time .Yeah if you want to find some fault in eth you will but its still the most powerful pllatform based crypto.

Ethereum follows closely Bitcoin, when Bitcoin going down Ethereum going down, and if you look at graphs you will see that both coins lost about the same. So I think your prediction is not accurate.

Actually ethereum is much more than a new altcoin, and as innovative project I think it has an interesting future. So I think it may be a good option to invest in long runs despite the pessimistic rumors prevailing in the internet about the future of that altcoin.

I think eth will be the second choice in crypto investment besides bitcoin. and we can see the eth value that started up from time to time. this is because many new investors are interested in eth and of course the excess eth has a smart contract. I will keep it for a long time.
