over time if there will be a new technology taht wil come and may be better than bitcoin.
Someday people will realize that one of the new coin that already exist can excel in terms of adaptability in any circumstances, monero i suppose can be a real good one but there might just be better. I don;t know the rest that exist.

If Bitcoin is a scam then every currency in this world is a scam too. And it can't just disappear. In the worth scenario it can become worthless but can't just disappear

Bitcoin can only disappear if whole internet is down and doesn't exist anymore, which is a highly unlikely scenario, so conclusion, is nothing to worry about, we can only worry about its value, but for the moment is great over 400 USD for 1 Bitcoin.

Bitcoin can disappear if the users think that Bitcoin is not worth their time anymore. Not much will happen to the world the only people that would panic are the people that still have Bitcoins left and can't sell them anymore.

I dont think that bitcoin can disappear now because many have joined bitcoin and have invested so much that they put a large amount of money in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency, so even a single person has copy of latest blockchain and is connected to Internet, the bitcoin will work. And that is probably not gonna happen.

As long the devs still active and Internet still exists, Bitcoin can't disappear.

If bitcoin got unused by people, then bitcoin will disappear. That is almost impossible.

Bitcoin could disappear or people could always choose not to use it anymore. However, I think this is very unlikely, unless some revolutionary replacement coin pops up and becomes vastly more popular than Bitcoin.
I think we're pretty safe for the next couple of years though Smiley

for those who earn lots of bits/bitcoins ofcourse they will panic and i think they will start world war 3 i guess people vs. founder/ceo of bitcoins If we assume that criminal penalties will be introduced in all countries of the world for the use of cryptocurrency, then disappear "target audience", and with it themselves cryptocurrency.BTC is no where near to scam i sell my apartment (signature) for BTC this is how much i believe in it lol.

As long as people use bitcoin, it won't disappear.
And I'm sure bitcoin will still exist for a long long time.

The chance is really small that it can happen because Bitcoin is now getting these days more popular and that is nice for Bitcoin itself because it is now also more used so that is nice.
It will only disappear if there will be another payment method that is better than Bitcoin.

I do not see this happen soon but its of course possible, no one knows what is gonna happen with the bitcoin itself.
So yes there is a possibility that that bitcoin is gonna disappear for good but I think this will be in about 20 years from now so we still got a lot of time.

Bitcoin could disappear if Earth destroyed or all internet connection is dead, but bitcoin can't be a scam.
If bitcoin disappeared, i think it means something serious/dangerous has happened and people won't think about bitcoin or other trivial things.
Bitcoin wouldn't disappear even if the Internet was rendered completely unusable, as long as someone has the blockchain and has the client and software for nodes and miners, they could rebuild Bitcoin like how it was the last time they updated it before the Internet went down.

Yes Bitcoin can disappear in the deep pockets of greedy Bitcoin exchange SEO's which seems like a completely normal practice nowadays. Because Bitcoin is not regulated yet people can get away with it while in the fiat world if PayPal or Skrill try to pull a similar stunt they will get buried by lawsuits. I think there is a higher chance you will lose your Bitcoins in a bad investment or getting fleeced by an exchange at some point before Bitcoin completely disappears which will happen if the whole Internet goes down.

It is post like this, that adds no value to the discussion. Put some more efforts into your post, and quantify why you are saying Bitcoin will disappear in 20 years. We cannot simply post crap and expect

campaign managers to pay for that. There are enough Sig haters on this forum and you giving them more ammunition, when you post stuff like this. Bitcoin will not disappear, until there are nobody

running the nodes or using the currency or keeping the Blockchain going. The price will go down, but the bitcoins will still be there... Let's contribute constructively, when we post please.  Wink
