How can I know ? Been using Stellar now just for the 2nd time ever. (1st airdrop and now the 2nd airdrop Smiley ) Should've send to Bittex I guess.

it's not a stellar thing, it's a crappy exchange thing.

i have accounts at both but i ain't putting any money into poloniex until it looks like it's working better. i don't feel like getting a stuck transaction and being caught in support ticket limbo.

it'll probably be fine but i'm not in the mood to take a chance.

They have the pump right, but not the direction. STR will pump down just like it did the last time the free coins came out.

if you know the right address then you're fine. you don't need to check the others. the more you transact, the more it gets spread between addresses. i found bitcoin in my phone wallet between about six addresses.

I have small amount of bitcoin. nothing to spread..

I have small amount of bitcoin. nothing to spread..

the amount doesn't matter, the number of transactions you do matters.

every time you send, your bitcoin is split between different addresses inside the wallet. it's to preserve your privacy but it also makes it a pain in the ass for doing stuff like signing specific addresses.

What is the minimum reserve for the Stellar account ?
I can't withdraw all the amount of my Stellar account : I allway have a error message.
After some I see there is a minimum reserve to leave in the Stellar account.
Ok, but I see nowhere how much it is for a single account.
Do you know ?

i ended up leaving 25 in there to get a successful transaction through. i think you have to leave 20 in no matter what. i worked my way from 20 to 25 but it maybe less than 5.

Thank for reply : I leave 99 :-).
I make some try and re-post.

Edit :
And the right number is : 20 XLMs are to stay in your account (be carreful : think to o.00001 XLM fee when you make your withdraw).

Looks like the free coins are starting to hit. Down 47 sats in 1 second flat.

Yep, two months of people collecting their lumens.  Hopefully, it will spur much more adoption and use in the long term.  Stellar has a lot of promise, but I would not expect any big price rise until after 27 Aug.

Poloniex says that they never agreed to participate in the giveaway. That's quite shitty as I'm sure many people deposited bitcoin or refrained from withdrawing with the understanding that Poloniex would participate, now those people will be unable to use that bitcoin to claim Lumens.

The question is, will Poloniex claim the Lumens or will it just go to the organization? This mistake may lead to the organization earning a significantly larger share of the giveaway, maybe it wasn't such an accident? Maybe Poloniex or the Stellar Organization will find a way to reconcile this?

https://twitter.com/Poloniex/status/879511304075083781

Well that is a pain in the ass if I knew Poloniex wasn't supporting the giveaway I would have moved those coins to a different wallet for a day, I presumed they would fasttrack it via the giveaway function.
They had more than enough time to tell people that so I sense scam in a sense that they delayed the release to prevent movement of withdrawals.

just make sure they don't claim for themselves Grin
Sure, they will claim for themselves.

Why do you withdraw your BTC to Poloniex ?
Evereybody says exchnages are not secure and not sure : one more proof.

It's a trading balance so it makes sense to keep that amount around wouldn't be a problem usually but ya true enough Mintpal and others teach ya not to keep to much in there just enough to operate ^^.

Awesome suggestion MissCrypto!  I downloaded the official client and it worked just fine as well, but that the account viewer is much easier.
