I think a lot did it same as me. I am still hoping Poloniex will claim it and distribute to btc holders. |

Anyone tried to claim Lumens for Ripple? I followed this procedure to claim Lumens for my XRP: - Authenticate with Facebook.
- Enter your Stellar public key or generate a new one.
- Send a small amount of XRP (even 1 drop is OK) to the provided Ripple address with a displayed destination tag. Please note that we will not be able to send your XRP back!
- After receiving a payment to the provided Ripple address, lumens will be sent to your Stellar account.
I got confirmations that the 0.000001 XRP * I sent from each Ripple address went to the supplied Destination Address. I remembered to add the DT (Destination Tag). I am still waiting to see any Lumens show up in my Stellar balance. How long is it expected to take with Ripple claims? I noticed that the Bitcoin claims were instantaneous. * The recommended amount displayed in the form at the Stellar claim link. |

it then gives you a message that you need to sign with your bitcoin wallet. put the stellar message into the sign message section of your wallet. your wallet then provides another message. paste that into the stellar website and you get your lumens nearly instantly. |

I think a lot did it same as me. I am still hoping Poloniex will claim it and distribute to btc holders. It would be nice if there was an update somewhere. I have not seen anything other than the twitter post linked on the claims page. It would help if the Stellar people would just post WHY they thought Poloniex was participating and so included them on their blog list as participating, then at least I could be just mad at Polo. |

I followed all the steps including the destination tag, and the ripple transaction has been confirmed for a few hours now, but I haven't received any lumens yet. |

Now... To hold or not to hold, that's the question.
It looks like this coin already had a considerable drop, maybe in part in anticipation of the giveaway. It also looks like the dump isn't being as hard... in fact it has risen since the giveaway. Maybe the dump was overdiscounted already?
Also on the last time I received some XLM from Kraken I ended up dumping them before the big rise....
On the other hand, what's this coin useful for? Is it bassically a Ripple clone without the hype?
it don't really matter if it has uses or not. it has presence and it ain't going anywhere in the markets plus the market cap is relatively modest. dump a proportion now and sit on the rest. That's what I have done: sold 20% for BTC and kept 80%. I like to diversify, and it is even easier when I got something for free. Noone knows what will happen in the future. |
