The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Seems there is the possibility of an extension if an exchange is willing to participate.

“We would like to distribute lumens to as many Bitcoin holders as possible, but cannot do this without the active participation of exchanges. Recognizing it is harder for exchanges to implement our giveaway than for individuals to claim lumens, we are offering a claim deadline extension to December 31, 2017 as well as limited technical assistance to exchanges that meet the following”

How much BTC do you have while receive that reward? From there I think we can determine it how much XLM we can get for 1 BTC

Can we claim Lumens from multiple addresses? I use a Ledger Nano, so I have some BTC on a few different addresses.

yes. i had dust on about 15 addresses. it all adds up. they all went to the same stellar address with no problems.

Did you use the Ledger Nano to claim?

I had no success signing, I got the message “Your device can only use a derivation path starting by 0’/0xb11e’

When I contacted Ledger they just said "The signing message feature is only available with Nano S and Blue."

Ah. It was an s not a nano. You should still be able to import the seed into a wallet that can be signed. I'm not sure which type of bip it is.

Thanks, I’ll look into it:

BACKUP & RESTORATION

In case of loss, you can restore it on any Ledger Wallet (Nano or another one) or all other compatible solutions (BIP 39).

I discovered a few XLM sitting in my Bittrex account today and had no idea how it got there until I read the last couple of pages of this thread. If I had known about it I might have been able to have more, but free stuff is still appreciated. Wink

Please, what's the problem here?

I made two poloniex transactions for my wallet and it did not arrive.

I just used the address of my wallet, I do not have the ID of the memo:?

How to send STR, poloniex, to my wallet? Huh

I'm using the new wallet: StellarDesktopWin64-v2.9

I have a headache with it!

Just leave the memo id blank.

I discovered that I had to send 20 STR, to confirm the wallet.  Cheesy

Now it has been confirmed.

I'm happy!

Thank you man

I have moved my Bitcoins into new wallet where I hold private keys too. Is this still possible to claim using my Bitcoins ? When the snapshot was taken ? I just saw bittrex just distributed to XLM among their customers based on their funds in wallets. Somewhere I saw this round is valid till August. Any help will be appreciated a lot.

I am a person who often trades in Bittrex. 2 days ago I was shocked to get some XLM in my bittrex wallet.
My question: Is it a Giveaway from bitrex or from XLM?
thank you

a snapshot was taken on june 26 I believe and for every bitcoin you could claim like 9xx lumens. I just saw my lumen balance in bittrex and that got me motivated to take a look since most of my btc where in my qt wallet. I was trying to find out how I should claim my lumens but found out I have to login with face book..? I dont have face book so its not possible for me to claim my coins? Should I just use my girlfriends FB or from a friend or so? Bit strange that only FB is used to check where you live?

it always have a chance to pump soon.
the price is just dropped because of the massive token giveaway and huge dump of the bounty hunters. just wait a few months when the price is stable

So what's going on with this STR/XLM scam coin this week?
You should not say that. I'm sure we'll see the price to 2000 satoshi for a coin.

another dreamer.............

Hello, i have a Problem with the stellar account. Maybe i've done the Registration in wrong order and now everything ist out of control :-(
i have a secret key and a public key and a wallet but i think, they don't really fit together.
If i fill in my secret key on the account Viewer, there is an error-message. I have claimed the Lumen using my bitcoin wallet. everything was ok but now i have no access to the lumen. I really think, i have done it all in the wrong order.
I can't claim again, because the bitcoin adress is already registered. I am very confused. Is there any possibility, to cancel the whole registration to do it again?
Thank you for your help!

I have a slight problem with claiming Stellars at:
https://www.stellar.org/lumens/bitcoin-lumen-program/

using my Ledger Nano S

Every time I see this message:

"Signature is invalid. Please try again."

Any suggestions?

Any news from Kraken regarding the airdrop?
I am positive I had an amount of Bitcoin on Kraken at the time of the airdrop but so far I have not gotten credited any XLM.
Is it not happening anymore?

YEs, the part in bold. What is the response from the page after you enter that signed message?

What's your bitcoin address? I will see if I can verify this message.

edit: of I can't verify if you messed it up.

Also, no one can claim your lumens, since the message you are signing includes your Stellar Public ID which is where the lumens will be sent.
