yup, that's why I think USD value does have its importance.

Well if you look at the USD value we are recovering. Albeit slowly but still.

For me Stellar is a long term HODL.

USD value is not important as long as you are part of the crypto world.
The price that really counts is the token price compared to BTC or ETH.

Let's hope for a big pump!

https://www.stellar.org/about/mandate/#Lumen_distribution
Quote
The initial lumens held by SDF are required to be distributed to the world in the following manner:

50% for distribution via the Direct Sign-up Program
25% for distribution via the Partnership Program
20% for distribution via the Bitcoin Program
5% held by SDF to support operational costs

I assume the Direct Sign-up Program is over?

How many people participated in the Direct Sign-up Program?  How much of the reserved 50B XLM was given away?  I think I saw in previous thread that people who signed up w/FB+phone received like 6k XLM, is that correct?  CMC says supply is ~16.5B XLM.

Is there any info about how many XLM were given away during the 2 BTC and XRP airdrops?  The terms said unclaimed XLM would go to SDF.. how much XLM does SDF currently hold?

Any chance SDF airdrops on ETH? (if they're trying to increase awareness and distribution, ETH would be best place to do an airdrop.. sharedrop an ERC20 token and give people a month or a year or whatever to send it back to a contract that then automatically distributes XLM to them)

I agree with hodl. I disagree with “part of crypto world..”, the price that really counts is the the amount of lumen or lumen sats products and services cost; Sold on decentralised, anonymous market places (like safex). No more fiat currency, no more paying some countries debts, quantitative easing effort or whatever they come up with...

Seems like an easier metric for judging value over time considering the volatility of the alternatives.

I need a clarification about a wallet: I was looking for a desktop wallet for macOS, and I chose Stellar Desktop Client, what I don't understand is the way I see the various files once I open the zip, there are:
- credits (HTML file)
- nwjs (application, 173.2 mb)
- nwjs-v0.20.2-osx-x64 (folder)

Inside that folder:
- credits (HTML file)
- nwjs (application, 166.4 mb)

Is it normal? And if it's ok, which application file should I install? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you would want the topmost njws.exe if you are on Windows. --- The OSX folder would be for Apple operating systems; since you're on Mac this is the one for you.
Mmm I'm not so sure about that because take a look here: https://github.com/stellarchat/desktop-client/releases/tag/v3.0
As you can see there are the different versions for the different OS, and I've downloaded "StellarDesktopOsx64-v3.0.zip", and below that there are 2 versions for Windows, so it wouldn't make sense to put another Windows version inside the macOS wallet, no?  Huh

“This is the first time anyone has made blockchain work at an institutionally viable scale,” said Robert Bell, Chairman of APFII and founder of KlickEx Group. “Through KlickEx, the Pacific has had relatively low-cost, real-time, multi-currency payments for most of the past decade, and this project was a natural next step following our work to create seamless and borderless payments across the Pacific. We look forward to the results with using IBM Blockchain as we continue to push forward with our mission to remove payment friction across borders.”

This production blockchain network with KlickEx and Stellar is one of many blockchain projects underway by IBM in financial services including foreign exchange payments netting, private equity administration, securities lending and trade finance.

Maybe Stellar will be IBM's choise for more of there blockchain projects, what do you think guys?

especially after 25th this november this coin will boom, but till then it at least gets 1500 sats in my opinion. after the bitcoin gold is over it will definitly go to moon.
but just thing, if they expand the partnership with ibm?
then each 1 dollar of this coin.
why should ibm take a partner if not for a long time partnership?

guys think little bit.
this coin has value! real value!

I wonder how much 'flow' the IBM involvement will create. The more flow, the more potential of a price increase. Anyone got any idea of this?

I got in too late and currently I am burned

it's not too late, just bought more right now, it's gonna grow more, ATH is more than twice today's price, yesterday sell walls had been grinded, today is gonna be a nice day, weither it's for short or long term, there is a good opportunity right now.

ATH is over 3500 sats.
Seeing the relative volume of the two "pumps" (the one in august and this one in october), we have more than twice the volume this time around compared to august and the price increased only to the 1000's of sats not the 3000's.

Thus the increase in price we have seen since the IBM announcement seems healthier.

Have to factor in bitcoin was a lot less back then too

He's talking in terms of Sats.  The value if measured in Sats will always be independent of the US Dollar.  Most coins are very far from their ATH atm in terms of Sat.  I think another ALT bullrun is coming if crypto interest holds.

Why is this token so small? The speed of the block is enormous. There is a stock exchange. He should have been on the moon for a long time already. I support the project.

Actually you are correct.  The features and benefits of this project is excellent. I really don't know why it is still undervalued and it should be ranging between $0.1 - $0.5.

Maybe the value of stellar might rise again on upcoming couple of months and right now the time to keep on buying and holding it.

maybe there still lot of people do not know what this token capable of, and maybe the team need to make more promoting and introduction. so people know and XLM can get more trust by people.
thats is how bitcoin can be big the way it is now.

Why is this coin tanking???  With the news from IBM you would think the price would be at least .10  It has to be more then the Bitcoin fork because there are other Alt coins in the green....  so why is this a sinking ship?

Ya... that's the one.  Is this a crap coin or what?  And if it is a crap coin then why did IBM chose Stellar over many other options?  Is there something going on that I am not aware of?? .3 cents for this coin??... really??

If that was correct then you would see large dumps...  and then large buys on the dump.  That's not what I am seeing.  Either this is the opportunity of a lifetime to buy into something REAL that IBM, one of the most reputable companies in the world, has chosen... or it's not.  I'm just trying to figure out why anyone would actually sell this coin right now when it should be hitting high gear...

Seems like XLM went to high, too quickly on the 16th. It has to go down below 500 then we moon.
