What is the difference between XLM (Bittrex) and STR (Poloniex)? Is it the same Stellar Lumens?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Yes same coin, poloniex is just being retarded not following the rebranding of the coin.

I used to use poloniex but... issues and zero support.

Make your life easier use bittrex.

But most of all use a wallet to store your coins, put the coins on an exchange only when you buy/sell.

"The stellar price soared more than 50 percent on Wednesday in response to news that the blockchain project had formed a partnership with recently-launched Korean cryptocurrency exchange GOPAX.
Earlier today, Stellar announced that it had formed a partnership with GOPAX, an exchange that launched in November under the banner of Streami, one of the Digital Currency Group’s portfolio companies."

New to XLM myself as of today, that difference also confused me, but alas did not yet have a validated Poloniex or Bittrex account... ended up using Kraken (from the US) which despite numerous gateway (cloudflare) errors, managed to get my XLM in the end.  Frustrating experience though.  Look forward to trying the other exchanges.

Got it in the middle of the pump this AM due to Godex news (without errors would have been beginning of the ramp), but having a cold needed a nap and missed the peak to double my stake, guess I'll be here and keeping a eye on this project for a while.   Cheers!

I dont think so big companies will work together with this kind of coin having very often network, wallet, loss coin issues.
I have just looked up, there are lots of people living this kind of problems not only in polo but also in bittrex and kraken.
This is very bad reputation to sign good contracts with big partners and new exchanges.
I was an xlm accumulator since I really believed in the project and its underpriced, it was half of my total portfolio, I have sold half of my holdings in high levels, I will sell the remaining too.
Unacceptable transaction problems for a coin having a claim of immediate transfer.

Its better using bittrex probably poloniex is going to say goodbye in the future they went to a shitty exchange service. Probably they dont care anymore.

ouch, I'm from France and even from here kraken is pretty darn unuseable...

I can only encourage people to go through the Bittrex validation as it was quite painless for me and so far I have had zero issues there.

Hi there Stellar Lumens comunity Smiley
i recently saw the spike up in the price and a friend of mine has explained to me that the current uptrend is because of IBM who announced a cooperation with Stellar Lumens.
I thought to myself this might be a very good oppurtunity to join your ranks.

Hello, yes Smiley It happened a bit more than one month ago. And now it is increasing because it should be that.

Is anybody stuck on polo during withdrawal process? Any ideas on what's going on? Support is dead silent.

yes I am too, do you have any update since then?

Support is not answering, so they didn't for the same issue I have faced with EMC2 few days ago...

I use a long list of exchanges from Binance to Yobit (and many defunct ones), and am finding Kraken unbearable to use. Even without the cloudflare errors the poor layout is just miserable to deal with. They need a complete redesign of their layout.

If only chinese exchanges would list stellar they are missing some good volumes happening right now. The team should also consider approaching other exchanges to help distribute the supply to non-english speaking people

I think Stellar Lumens will be of interest to investors. The currency can be used to simplify multi currency transactions on the basis of the blockchain, regardless of existing markets and gateways.
