Sorry for you not being able to sync. I don't understand the last question. Nodes are necessary to sync, yes.

Looks like Espers is losing all its steam and is heading back to where it came from. It was a good run it had and I hope the dev becomes active again.

Just crossing my fingers for the new wallet to fix PoS. With the current state, the biggest owners keep getting all the stakes and can just keep dumping on the market. It's a broken coin as is and if it's not fixed soon, there's likely no return.

This is also true! But I know some other coins with 0 activity from the devs and the price is going up and down. Maybe espers is not that type.

Yep! On other coins like NEO, LTC, XRP, BCC, ETC you can easy sell 10-20 BTC worth of coins, but for them is hard to double in price.
