Just recently got into BTC; I have 2.5 saved up. Plan on taking 25% of each of my paychecks and accumulating and seeing what will happen in 2017 or later in the year. Thoughts? Ideas? Speculation? Advice? Tips? Nice, 2.5 BTC is a good amount for a newcomer. Also, how much is your salary per month? Because 25% is a lot, well, if you have a small salary. For advice, you should store your Bitcoin in a secure environment. For instance, paper wallet or in an offline PC. Salary is about 3k / month. Is storing it in Coinbase wallet secure? I recently signed up with that website. How would you go about storing in an offline PC or paper wallet? I don't quite understand. Avoid any online wallets that send you the keys, even if they claim that it is all automated. You only need the public and private key values, you don't need to print on paper, just don't give out the private key (or your wallet.dat file either)

I'm saving the payments I receive from the signature campaign. Will also try to find some extra job paid in Bitcoins to save some more. At the moment this is not much, but hope the sum will increase in the future.

I've personally have put aside 1BTCitcoin in which I haven't touched it since few months ago and will wait until the halving to see how much I'll get from it (I bought it at around $230+ value), I'm not after huge profits, just for fun. I earn most of my online earnings through BTCitcoin but keep on spending them right away since that's the only online payment option, that I could use (due to where I live). What your doing (25% of your earning saved into BTCitcoin, is actually a good one and most likely you'll end up profiting good in a long run). My only tip would be to store them in a hardware wallet (due to security risks).

I'm more of a sucker for the stock market and at present that's where most of my money is. Sounds like you have a solid plan, but be careful. The price is stable right now but take a look at 2013 and you'll begin to see how risky bitcoin can be. I probably wouldn't invest as much as you say you plan to. But who knows, you could get rich by 2017.

Advice? Tips? why not just invest your saved bitcoin into a trusted site where you can earn continuously without doing anything, but doing this you to be risky and dont invest all your saved bitcoin in one site only.

Plan on taking 25% of each of my paychecks
Do you have other investments too, to spread your risk (and chances)? 25% of your paycheck on one thing can be very rewarding but can also be very risky. I don't want to disclose my savings in public, but I can tell you I would never go 25% all-in in any one investment. I'm saving the payments I receive from the signature campaign.
I do the same, my signature payments (one payment so far, second one coming very soon) go straight into a paper wallet dedicated to that campaign. I don't need the money now, and who knows what it may be worth in the far future. I'm more of a sucker for the stock market and at present that's where most of my money is.
I get the feeling the stock market is highly overpriced now. I do have some money in there in some funds, but not much.

8 btc is really a very good amount to hold I guess, and you are already a rich guy, just hold it and spend it smartly and do not experiment with your coins till the halving.
