Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

at the end they are not bad at all. One day those small earnings won't be so small who knows.

You can't go wrong with resolution like this. I feel like investing into bitcoin can be the most profitable method of saving your money I can think of right now.
No bank deposit or is gonna be even remotely as profitable as bitcoin holding. The only advice I can give is: don't pay attention to fluctuation of market - wait for the big price spike.

I don't save a lot I prefer to keep on spending on regular basis as it is taking care of my extra stuffs, and my salary is intact, as I know fiat can take care of me in long run.

yeah I agree with the division of the money which was nice with 50% to foster bitcoin I also do it. I have 2 BTC BTC and one I keep in your wallet. which allowed to sell when prices rise and 1 BTC others for investment

That is the good way to follow, as you can always sell some of it when price goes higher and rest will take care of future, I have 1 btc at a moment in cold storage and will sell if bitcoin reaches to my expected price.

What will make he price spike. Block halving price already priced in. Bit coin up 100% from last year. What will be he catalyst for it to jump?

I have at least 1 whole Bitcoin saved just in case the price sky rockets in the near future. Other than that I am getting my salary deposited into my bank account so I can convert to Bitcoin only when I really need to like there is an item I want to purchase etc. I don't want to go big on Bitcoin and spend a lot of cash buying coins because it's a gamble you could win a lot but you could also lose a lot so I am taking it easy right now and still testing the waters.

Around 4 or 5 BTC in total accumulated. But the problem is that I either gambled them away in the end, or got scammed by an obvious con.

I guess the best way to go about it is to not invest anything, just save up Wink

I can only say, "Not enough!"... I am trying to save as much as I could... but equally important is to try spending whenever possible... Spend and immediately buy back is not going to make you lose money and will help the bitcoin economy to move forward.

I agree with you friend now many people save bitcoin for gambling and more customer only use whenever need some goods for family that time is only use bitcoin but I have some bitcoin and now i am waiting for buy bitcoin .

not a bad idea, i mean to taking something like a % and use it for trading or whatever you want to do with them, this is exactly what i was doing until now, but with the closer halving i'm thinking to keep all of them Smiley
so yes about how many bitcoin i was saving, was more than 80%, until now...

Then what? Sell it all. Do you ever actually use it to buy and sell anything?

I actually have no plan, or maybe, the plan is still just one which will be to have the more BTC I can get. It's a kind of insurance for a good future, yes let's call it this way

Yes it can be a insurance or a fixed  deposit which should be untouched for many years, I have 2 btc at a moment in cold storage which I am not gonna spend for next 5 years.

i think after reaching 20 btc in my wallet i will go for 25 or 30 bitcoins. increasing the amount of coins that i have is all i care about. and yes, i do spend some coins to buy something, but not a lot since i don't need much. i only buy stuff that i need.
