As a developer I tend to stay out of this type of discussions, but I would encourage everyone that trust our vision and execution to donate to BigDeal, it will open big doors that will bring a lot of new devs and investors to the Iota ecosystem. If you trust our vision it should be an easy choice.

Guys - this is serious! It is not some crap, like twitter marketing or giveaways, or so on.
It's stake for real businesses.

Donate http://bigdeal.iotatoken.com/

It really make sense cut 10% of your stake, so that the USD/BTC value of remaining will go much higher!

It is good for a dev to do not participate in speculation discussions. Let the traders and people who want to use IOTA might do the tricks. Good decision.

There is one trade of cryptoknightt for which he used escrow by seccour.
The buyer was peer2peer360.

You two, do you have any information about user cryptoknight, like email address or btc address?
That could be really valuable!

Why did the noise with the Big Deal begin to decline? Come on, donators, where are you? Let's make it happen. Asia waits for IOTA.

with msin's pledged we will have 34.75T already!! and that is 70%

so we need another 5.5T to hit the next milestone to trigger another committed donation pledge.

Okay, count me in for 5Ti, will send once I get home and sync client

Hi, msin!

Are you still with us? We stuck at 29.7 Ti.

Yes, my client was having issues but you can count me in for 5Ti.

Beware, I was scammed 10 BTC on IOTA slack channel from someone using the same nickname and picture of the dev. I didn´t know you can use any nickname on slack, so I accepted a non escrow trade, especially having one of the "devs" as trading partner.
When the trade was done, the scammer changed his name back.

Afterwards the real dev with the same nick was making fun of me, I don´t think that is professional:

I was scammed for 25 btc. It was pure stupidity and I have no one to blame but myself. Jokes are most welcome.

I interpret that phrase as "you can do nothing except blaming yourself", not as a joke. Thoughts chain is pretty short:
1. You didn't use an escrow
2. You lost the bitcoins
3. The bitcoins can't be returned
4. You have no an option except blaming yourself (because Bitcoin devs will never make a fork)

People with high IQ tend to verbalize only the final stage assuming that the previous steps are obvious. Jokes work in a similar manner, they require a listener to construct intermediary steps in the mind, one of the steps triggers the reaction in brain. BTW, this is why quite often we see people who don't get a joke, low IQ doesn't allow to construct thoughts chain that make other people laugh.

So, I think "the real dev" wasn't making fun of you.

Hey smartass.
1. I didn´t use escrow because I thought I am dealing directly with the dev, who are normaly the guys doing escrow for trades, just check the log I sent, there you will find more information. In Slack it is possible to use anybody nickname and pictures, even in the same channel. It was my fault not being more suspicious, but slack is definiatly not adequate doing trades for non-geeks.
Btw. I read following page, where is nowhere warned of scammer on slack: https://forum.iotatoken.com/t/first-steps-in-order-to-buy-iota-and-how-you-set-up-your-wallet/772
2. Yes correct
3. Correct
4. Correct, thats why his "joke" is so disgusting.

And what you are telling is not true, at least where I am living, in my real-life nobody makes jokes about someone losing more than 5.000 usd instantly afterwards. You don´t amuse yourself at the expense of sb. else, this has to do with good behaving and has nothing to do with the IQ.
If you are sociopath or autistic you might find it funny because you are not able to empathize with someone else.
