Have you ever lost Bitcoin?
my answer :
Yes, but my own fault
Yes, but I was scammed

maybe total of my lost arround 10btc
Lol I think most people lose money or bitcoin them because they make their own mistakes such as gambling or deliberately invest into Ponzi site and when the site was a scam they get losses can be significant amount. be careful with something risky

Unfortunately, Every newbie is susceptible to some scam

Correct, and I also assume that mostly of us do experience scam when we are still a newbie because of lack of knowledge int things especially to hyips and ponzi sites. Even some veterans do also be a victim but in rare cases only. As we learned from our experience we would not able to commit the same mistake again.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

When I am starting to earn bitcoin I dont know about being scam I only start earning bitcoin in faucet site and invest it so that my money grow not knowing that it is high risk or high to chance to be scam. Experience is your best teacher thats why from that mistake I learn from my mistake. And now totally improving in earning bitcoin. He he.

Everyone have lost their coins in the past and people who are active in gambling would be loosing on continuous basis, but now we need to make sure that we will avoid gambling to avoid loss.

I haven't lost coins from  sending it to a wrong  person, but yes I've lost some  coins into scams. No problem, because  I have learned from it. In the last year, I haven't lost coins  to scam websites and ponzi schemes.

If you will loose once you will not dare to repeat the same mistake again and that is the best way to move on, learn from mistakes but make sure that you don't repeat it again.

Yes, but my own fault,  :-( and worse, having some experience trading, lost 0.1 btc using margin. Been more careful since that...

I lost because of my own mistake bitcoin. I often lose bitcoin in gambling but it used to be when I do not have self-control. I also lost my first bitcoin on the use of trade and I think it's still reasonable.

Have you ever lost Bitcoin?

If that happened, why?   Was it your own fault,  or were you scammed?
Yeah I have lost Bitcoin in the past with gambling and just spending them in real life but I was never scammend or hacked.
I am sure that it can happen with Bitcoin but it did not happen to me.

"Your own fault" or "were yo scammed" are the same thing if you ask me , because if you get scammed then it was your fault for not using escrow in your transaction or trusting people just like that or simply using reversible payment methods . and no , I never lost any bitcoins and I'm not planning to start now . Grin

Using trusted escrows has been proven to not be always a guarantee for safety. In that case it is very difficult to avoid being scammed here on this forum, even while using trusted forum escrows. Regarding OP; I am happy to say that I have not lost any coins.

Just because Master-P scammed people doesn't mean all escrows are bad , but yes you got a point . Still , 99% of scam accusations on Bitcointalk are totally the fault of people who gets scammed .
I dont think there are allot of peopel lost their bitcoins and if they have lost their bitcoins i know for sure that there are many peopel who got rid of their coins not just loss they are stolen from them for sure!

Yes and if you are into gambling then loosing there is a common thing, as you cannot expect to win every time but I still feel that loosing in gambling is good instead of getting scammed.

Yes I lost bitcoin because I have been scammed before which is not a nice experience but it happened cause i was dumb.
It was an investment into something which basicly just ran away with the money afterwards and Ive never heard from it again.

Only small amounts, and on rare  occasions larger amounts. But if you have proper  care, and follow the safety recommendations  to prevent such things from happening,  probably you will not have  major problems with it.
The most important recommendation is to use a safe wallet and keep private key safe and hidden.
and one more thing is do not invest your bitcoins anywhere you see lots of profit. some time you see something but reality is actually different.
so never fall on these ponzi offers and you'll be safe.

Yeah if any sites is offering you unreal profits then you should be aware that something is wrong and it will be surely a ponzi scheme which will run away with your investments in future.

Its hard to recover your coins now, but if you can find that person whom you have sent and request him to return you back then you can expect to recover your coins, but the chances are almost zero.

Lol I think you have to be careful again in the transaction because you forget to make a copy of an address, you must know that bitcoin transactions can not be undone. so whatever you do to recover it. it is a useless thing you know

Yes. When I'm new in trading my btc was lost. Someone withdrawn my
BTC in C-cex site. I don't know how it happen, well infact
my 2fa was on, but it was bypass who hacked my account in trading site.
That time, when I logging in my account my btc was turns
zero balance. Sigh* I already email the support group, they
answer "maybe I was scammed then", and they can't return my btc.

Yep, being scammed on some cloud mining sites and a group buy of a miner in reddit. I remember when group buying an ASIC miner was still a thing and there I was always wanting to be a part of some group that would profit but after we managed to hit the target budget (which is $1300 for a fury miner) the person in charge of holding the money suddenly went missing and we cannot contact him or know his whereabouts.
