I lost 1btc. I put this on a exchange sites and it's got hacked and all my btc gone. I really was upset for this.Everyone keep your  btc on safe wallet don't put it on exchange sites.

Did you put on bitfinex or some where else? As I have few btc invested in poloniex but I don't think that site will get hacked as most of the users have trust in that site.

Woah 1 btc is large amount of btc, its hard to earn that amount. What is the name of the exchanger site is that? I think its all your fault because you didnt secure your account, many traders here like me want to know if it is your fault or the exchangers fault, if it is sxchanger what is the name of the site so that we didnt trade in that site

I don't thin that site would be operating anymore as their main intention was to run away with the funds of the investors and they successfully achieved their target.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Well, many people had lost their bitcoin when exchange sites got hacked. Bad luck if your fund was stolen, we should put our btc in some wallet and not too much in trading exchange. I ever lost bitcoin because my wallet got hacked through my email, I don't know how could it happened. So, I learned not to put my btc in just one wallet and set 2nd verification.

I lost few bitcents due to having installed a wallet and did not carefully keep the private keys, Ended up with the address which I can view on blockchain but no access to the BTC in it.

I'm sorry to hear that , i think you can learned from the past and don't repeating same fault in the future.
Save your address which has Private Key on it , and store in safe way if you need it for urgent thing your P.K is safe.

That is correct we need to save our bitcoin address and key with different storage to keep it safe but do not stop using bitcoin that experience will gives you more lesson in bitcoin, just create bitcoin address in the blockchain.info that is good to invest bitcoin.

No, I've never bitcoins lost .My work is experienced forex trader. I manage portfolio for clients beginning of $ 2,500 and each month will double the capital. I can say in 15 years I still have the same clients and customers will be paid every month. My clients are very happy with the arrival of Bitcoin.
and my clients are all members of this forum. Everyday they check new messages and support Bitcoin for the future

It is rarely to see someone who got rich without losing a few bitcoins.
I don't know if I'm gonna believe you or what. But you said that you are a forex trader and an experienced one. So, maybe you're already an experienced trader before you entered bitcoin.

Yes, I have lost some bitcoin when I was still a newbie and I was able to collect some satoshi's with faucets. And someone on facebook posted about
the hyip programs and he is earning with it, so I trusted him and at first my 0.001 earned to 0.005. And what I did is I reinvested it again but in the end I was not able to withdraw as hyip programs are just scam sites so that taught me a lesson.

Well that is not new, good thing here in my country that the exchange site that I am using was registered in the government and has a lot of permit to operate. So I am trusting my bitcoins to them, and as of now I don't have any experience that I have lost my bitcoins but I only lose from being an active gambler in the past.

Sometimes, when trading. It is difficult to make projections in this market, to be honest, especially when there is not much trading volume.
I think the Any and method for growing bitcoin always a risk? so anyway when you use trade to foster your bitcoin. if the volume is not too big maybe it will slow down your orders to get filled so you'd have to be more patient. yeah it is a key advantage in trade

i am sure many have lost bitcoin here, in the form of scams and ponzi's, even i have lost a few coins through ponzi's and scams, and some of the scam sites are still running and some sites have popped up with different domain names and designs, but it is still the same old scams.if you are not careful and if you become greedy that is when you get scammed ,thinking you could double the coins.

"Your own fault" or "were yo scammed" are the same thing if you ask me , because if you get scammed then it was your fault for not using escrow in your transaction or trusting people just like that or simply using reversible payment methods . and no , I never lost any bitcoins and I'm not planning to start now . Grin

Using trusted escrows has been proven to not be always a guarantee for safety. In that case it is very difficult to avoid being scammed here on this forum, even while using trusted forum escrows. Regarding OP; I am happy to say that I have not lost any coins.

Just because Master-P scammed people doesn't mean all escrows are bad , but yes you got a point . Still , 99% of scam accusations on Bitcointalk are totally the fault of people who gets scammed .
Yes i have lost some bitcoins and i dont think i would be the first one or the only one because i know that allot of peopel are losing coins just because the bitcoin is secured as shit.

Yeah the scam investment sites.  I remember still when I was knew to bitcoin and got really amazed on what it could do that it is just like the real money.  I bought a not so big amount of bitcoin but it is really came from my little savings and so it is really precious to me.  Then after some sign up and depositing money, when the time comes that I could withdraw the interest of my investment, it could not be transferred to my wallet.  I really regret that I did not search the site before.  It is all in the internet saying that it was a scam.

Ergh. That hurts. We tend to do the wrong choice when we are excited with something. But now we understand that this is real money so we can be more careful the next time. Actually all those exchanges can just vanish like a bubble and we cant do a thing about that. All we can do is find the exchange or wallet that can really be trusted.

I think if you already know the inherent risks in gambling I'm sure you would not do anything stupid to do with all your money gambling or betting a large amount? I'm sure if you already know the possibilities that exist on a gamble you will be ready with all the risks and not afraid of defeat

That is certainly true, but I've noticed that they make bets with very large and eventually they always addicted to doing it. But from the same spot that they know the bad impact of gambling and also the risk that they will get, but surprisingly they're always gambling with very bad way
