This is a good thing.

If more people use bitcoin in their transactions, more volume will be there. And high volume usually means price increase. Good job Gabe.

Steam has indeed added Bitcoins to their payment system (see my screenshot below), which is neat, but I'm still using steamgamesbtc and steambitshop because they often have discounted items from a previous sale that is no longer available on Steam.

For me it doesn't worth too! Better to buy on dealers. Much cheaper. Steam isn't selling for the fair price. If they don't change their rates, nobody will buy there because people can buy Steam games cheaper on another trusted sites. Until now, useless feature...

Actually, this is great for reloading your wallet balance, but I still prefer buying in G2A, other sellers, etc.

No I do not think it will affect the market section to be honest, its good that they are accepting it because we can finally pay directly in steam now but it will change nothing here.

That's for sure that it will affect the market it will convince other stores to accept bitcoin also, but not the forum market. I think only few members here are playing in steam because most of people here are into gambling, playing sports bet, dice, and casinos.
And it is good for bitcoin free advertisement for bitcoin with steam Grin

It is pretty sad that the availability of BTC as payment is just another small other payment option in the side. If you already have some of the other options setup as a newbie you wouldnt even know how to find bitcoin to pay unless you click the dropdown or the icon

Oh, yeah that's very sad if people will not click dropdown they won't know that steam is ready to accept bitcoin payments.
But I think that is not a big deal because steam already endorsed that they are already accepting bitcoin for their products.

No the market will not be affected due to this fact, I think it will maybe used a lot but with the forum market will nothing change.
Due to the fact forum markets offers mostly got discounts and are cheaper with games than if you buy it directly from steam.

why you don't use g2a and kinguin, they are much cheaper than steamgamesbtc and steambitshop, and less limited, there are more games there, almost all steam games are there, very convenient

People who were reselling steam games are only able to do it because they are buying games from stream when games in on sale.
After some time people would like to purchase popular games and would rather buy it cheaper that on stream for full standard price.
That is the method of major key re sellers like G2a and Kinguin as well.

Most likely its not gonna affect the market but its from now on still the question if you ask me, I did not see any changes.
And the fact is also that on here the games will most likely stay cheaper than directly from steam what is already mentioned here.

It is nice that Steam is accepting Bitcoin because there are also now more people that is going to use Bitcoin as their payment method and that will be also nice for Steam.
But you dont know what the value will be of the Bitcoin and that is the only problem.

As you can see now you see also that more people are accepting Bitcoin and that is perfect for the future because people with already Bitcoin can spend it more and more.
And if Steam is going to accept Bitcoin they also can earn more money which makes it a win win.

However don't expect Bitcoin to double because of this.
There is way more to that to happen. Even today most people use bitcoin, or the total amount of bitcoins available are used for investing/trading.
Which if you ask me is a shame..., seeing this happen 7 years after it was 'invented'

You are right about this its not gonna change the market for sure I think it will not be a problem to be honest.
The prices will almost be lower here than on steam!
