Well I do believe that acceptance of steam with bitcoin did really contribute to the rapid price increase that happened last month. Because that is going to add up some amount and demand in the market as the users are going to be more too. So I do believed that it is really affecting market. |

Steam will not affect the forum market I think this forum has an older age group but not sure ofcourse. But anyways we will see everywhere alot of games being traded with bitcoin. But I wonder if they also make ingame items purchasable with bitcoin so that people could trade it over like tf2 hats, cause then we will see so much activity from just this, it will help the bitcoin a great deal aswell.

I think that since steam is accepting BTC, people that use bitcoin will rather buy the games themselves. The game sellers around here may have to sell their games at a discounted price if they were going to get any buys.

Well that is really happening and I been seeing a lot of games seller of steam platform and selling their games at discounted price. I don't know how the market of it works maybe when they have purchased the game it is already in the low price and as of now the price is higher because of demand. But more gamers are buying more often with the sellers rather than directly to steam. |

Since april price went up pretty much, good news like this one, recognition from one of the best gaming sites make bitcoin stronger, and people have positive opinion about bitcoin after such news.
Who can say is this affected on market and price increase, or halving, bitcoin is holding this nice price even there was some crashes. Steam is first from big companies, future should be interesting, there is many more sites that can start the same thing. That will be nice wind for bitcoin economy.

Steam accepting bitcoin will not affect the forum market cause steam people will not really post on this forum but other game forums I can imagine.

Steam accepting bitcoin will not affect the forum market cause steam people will not really post on this forum but other game forums I can imagine.
It is great that steam is accepting bitcoin right now though and I love to buy some products from them trough btc.
And what the relationship of the steam accepting bitcoin is not giving any effect for forum and steam dev is not posted in here? maybe you can know about the different of bitcoin forum and games forum. LOL steam already accepting for few month ago. |

It barely affected the forum market but it did affect other forum markets which are more focused on this though since alot of people started reselling.
It's a great thing that steam accepts bitcoin and is one step ahead of many companies I spend alot of my bitcoin trough steam actually.

Although I do think its super nice steam is accepting bitcoin right now and giving us gamers a new payment method.

Yes. Absolutely. Maybe 15% of the people who are using Bitcoin is also using Steam Community. So that will be a good choice if these people will earn bitcoin in paying the games and credits from Steam and yes, This will affect a lot. It would be good if the bitcoin can be used as a currency in some games. And people can earn that in games. Yeah it would be great if not only webshops would accept bitcoin but also like games which are f2p and have some sort of "cash shop" imagine how many more people would buy stuff for the game which is good for the gaming market as it pumps more money into the industry. |

Thinking the same, it will not affect the market because its simply the fact that the prices here on the forum are a lot better than on steam itself when you have to buy it with the bitcoin. Its simply better here on the forum the prices are great and its even for the new games! |

It is really not going to have any effect here in forum since this forum is not the one that is going to do with the price of bitcoin. The only thing of the forum is to let the people know that steam is already accepting bitcoins. But the effect of acceptance of steam is that going to have contribution into the ecosystem of bitcoin . |

Since Steam is accepting bitcoin, I think that it will affect the forum market since now you don't actually have to wait for the seller to come online so that's a plus. Hey, at least with this news we may get a cheaper price since the sellers are competing with steam. LOL,that's true this competition will give us as a buyer cheap price than normal,the seller will trying to compete steam and the only way is to reduce the price of the game even giving discount in weekly basis,well if I can really get cheaper games then why don't give a try to those sellers  |
