Time passed since steam started to accept bitcoins as option of payment in their store. Price is higher then before accepting, and this is one of the reasons I think. One big store like steam have influence on market. How much exactly did accepting bitcoins in big companies have effect on price is difficult to calculate, nevertheless this is a good thing, and I hope more companies will start to accept bitcoins in future.

That's true. Our forum market haven't got affected. During the initial days when bitcoin was accepted by steam our forum helped in getting more popularity, eventually other gaming forums took it to most gamers. Now due to this lot gamers have got to know about bitcoin as well other digital currencies.
Yes, accepting bitcoin will increase their number of customers and sales, like you know many businesses are profit oriented hence whatever that will bring more money to their pockets is what they will be after. Steam without doubts is not an exception here.

Sure i could had made deal before the steam does accept it directly, but there a lot scammers here as well soo the fact that steam does accept bitcoin directly its more safe transactions, or it should be. I had almost purchased a game but we find a way to play for free, but in the future who knows people talk a lot about steam games.

We are using Coins.ph wallet which I believe is only available in Asian Regions. This wallet allows us to buy steam credits directly in our wallet and I found it awesome especially I am fun of playing DOTA 2. And having an item in that game is really cool. With bitcoin, it is possible to have those since we can buy credits online. And I think if it continues, many of the gamers will switch from buying in bitcoin instead buying steam wallet cards which cause much rather than buying online. And I believe it will make the demand of bitcoin much higher and will later affect the price of it.

I just want to ask if you purchase directly to steam or you will purchase the code from coinsph ? I also agree with you that bitcoin really is something much better in terms of purchasing something unlike paypal that is really strict about its users and trying to get a ridiculous fees.

I don't think bitcoin price goes up because Steam, think with me... Who will buy bitcoins to spend on Steam? It's more easily just buy directly with fiat For sure it benefits the bitcoin users but none will buy bitcoins to spend, you will have exchange taxes + fees.

It may contribute with the price increase because of steam's acceptance of payment through bitcoin will make the demand of bitcoin even higher. So for sure they are able to make and help the price of bitcoin higher as they are one of the biggest companies that are accepting payment with bitcoin. And a lot of gamers are into bitcoin so they really do helped a lot of for the price fluctuations.

Yes, it is a good development for people who don't have credit cards or do not want to make payment through paypal. By accepts bitcoin, millions of people from around the world start patronizing their service which will bring in lots of profits to them along with creating good demand for bitcoins too. Both bitcoin community and steam will get better benefits for sure.

The forum market was not that large to begin with so steam takes over there is nothing to complain about for the forum market sellers. Forum marlet sellers can maybe get some nice deals from places (I don't know where) then they can use these deals to sell at cheaper costs. I don't know how some of these online shops manage to sell under steam costs sometimes.

Their Bitcoin rates are fairest now and with the Christimas sale it become even better.

Maybe bitcoin price can go down because christmas if everybody buy some gifts Also Microsoft accept bitcoin as a payment too, you can use it in xbox, windows store... and that don't affect the btc price at all.

Steam is accepting the bitcoin and that is not really known these days so that is pretty funny, the prices here on the forum are also much better so its logical that it will not really affect the market right now.

What price here on forum are you talking about? People selling games/keys on digital goods? I think you can save more with steam discounts and promotions.

I know your situation is kinda hard and you really need it for the medication of your mother. Who know's if you are really saying the truth. But the fact that begging and asking people to give you in completion of 1 BTC is totally crap, you need to read again the forum rules. 7. No begging. [5]
