Why do we need Steam when we can download games for free on different sites? This Steam business is very smart. They take old games and start reselling it expensive to make profit without any difficult. There are a lot of games people already bought in the past on shops (those games with magazines), and now they must buy it again from Steam...
There are another ways to play online and for free, but people want to be a part of the fashion and re-buy games to look VIP. Bitcoins can buy more interesting things than reselled games on Steam.
Basically the main purpose of users purchasing games in steam is simple. Unlike those games that you were talking, yes you can consider some of them are good but when it comes to steam games comeone dude they are just too good and take note there are also free games from steam , but usually people bought steam credits not to download a game but to enhance their game experience.(eg. Dota2 Items)

Steam is accepting the bitcoin and that is not really known these days so that is pretty funny, the prices here on the forum are also much better so its logical that it will not really affect the market right now.
What price here on forum are you talking about? People selling games/keys on digital goods? I think you can save more with steam discounts and promotions. Steam is still very high with their prices compared with as a example G2A, I think that the market did not change and I agree with the person that its cheaper here on the forums than on steam itself!! I took a look and well, don't look secure for me, if the guy sold the key for me, for sure he can sell to other person the same one... And by the way sounds like a black market with a lot of hacked accounts, we can see people selling everything there... I prefer to buy on steam...

For sure the acceptance from big enterprises of bitcoin is a good thing, it show to the world the power of this currency and for sure can help to increase the price because it can bring more people. Is not so useful for no-bitcoin users however it's a plus to us.

Well, I'm not sure that it really will make bitcoin prices to rise. Steam users more use vouchers because it is a simple matter of using a credit card or bitcoin. so I feel for it, the price of bitcoin be steady and does not have a significant effect for the price of bitcoin

I wouldnt hope that kid and young adult market which are games will affect the bicoin price for an obvious reasons. They dont have much money or interests in investing. But more usability of bitcoin naturaly increase its liquidity and market cap.

YAY . I will be back for Steam after abandoning it for 3 years, If they really accept Bitcoin. Now I can buy games using my wallet instead of USD(I had an Inconvenient Issue with Steam before, that I was trying to buy a game and an error happened during the purchasing process, so my money disappeared and I didn't get the game. That's why i left, but accepting Bitcoin should bring me back, lol).

Valve started with half-life and well, now Steam is a money machine, they don't do games anymore, just money. Did they solved your problem about this sell?

Well if thats the case well its good for you, but are you sure you will coming back to use steam games just because of bitcoins addition there? Remember bitcoins is just a processor and nothing else added on the game features itself and you cannot actually see any bitcoins sign when you are in the game since that is not related on the said game, but if you really decide to cameback well thats ok aslong as you are in good shape and kicking for the want to play.

It's not good... You should send them a message about the issue you had, you lost money for nothing and Steam didn't reply you? If the issue during the payment proccess was Steam fault, they should give you the game or at least the money back, preferencially in BTCs, now that they are accepting the new currency on their system.

Well its the first person that looks like doesnt care about their own money, if this is real, he made those 3 years ago, its now a big problem to be able to confirm such transaction, i dont know how the steam does work, but i believe you can only buy the games they have, or you can buy and sell games between members? Its another good market to bitcoin be at, and for sure bring to them a bigger interest then their normal costumers.

not sure it will give more impact in bitcoin price, but it's will make bitcoin famous, and make gamer easy to deposit at steam
It will give an impact for the price of bitcoin, because the more the people that will use it then it will make the demand of it higher. So I can say that steams acceptance of bitcoin will make the price affected. And I guess, there are a lot of gamers who are using that platform, steam and knows how to use bitcoin for buying their games and ingame items. The demand and the the coins into circulate make the new interest means nothing into the bitcoin value, in the future the demand should make some effect at bitcoin, but currently it isnt making nothing besides allow transactions for games. Yes it really made bitcoin more popular to gamers and does affect bitcoin forum market because a lot of changes coming due to demand of game buying using bitcoin. This convenience using bitcoin would be very great for those steam gamers and scam is avoidable by using this cryptocurrency. By this way of online transaction previous problem is not going to happen anymore with steam and disappointments can be prevented.

I think it will be good for the market if you a buyer to buy at better prices because of the competition. I think it will effect the sellers because the buyer will rather have a legit place like steam to buy from directly.

I'm seeing steam's adoption of bitcoin as good advertisement to their million players who are using their platform. And for sure this can be a good way to make the demand of bitcoin even higher because many will see that by using bitcoin. It will give them more convenience and easy way of paying their in game items for purchasing it.

Some may get interested and gonna checking out after that, but the rest will don't give attention. Though most of the people don't care about payment option. they just use what they have and they're done with the business

A great idea indeed is very fun or it is absolutely inappropriate to be implemented or tested. But if you think like that and then you are very lacking in thinking about something that exists in this world, so what you say without having things that are less precise. If steam or everyone doesn't like to spend money for the sake of the game then it is already several years ago steam go bankrupt because no one uses it with his money

think of a young guy who is browsing faucets and bitcoin PTC and games to earn some 0.01-0.02 and then he is able to buy a game on Steam for his hard earned bitcoins if there are easier and more convenient conventional ways to pay I would not purchase bitcoins for that purpose but if I have spare change in my wallet I could spend it on steam games as well, why not
