here's my setup: 6 compac sticks in a BFL 30Ghs enclosure 3 sticks per heatsink 1 superbpag switch 1 fan controller + 2 temp sensors I will probably remove the right hand side cover so I can slide the right fan further away, I'll add a wire grill Hey zOU, nice, looks really, really great ! Two questions about : Did you also use heatsinks on every backside? And what was your maximum (stable) Freq / Hashrate you ever reached with this setup? Thx, andY

No heatsink at the back (although I have some). I've never tried over 310Mhs. I've not tried more since I got the new heatsinks. I'll probably give it a try at some point, but so far i'm quite happy

My modified USB extension lead that I had patched 5V into burnt up Yesterday, so ran overnight on the 2nd Compac at 200MHz. Have just done a better job of connecting the 5V directly to the contacts on the USB socket so should be ok this time. Good news is that the improved 5V supply seems to be allowing operation at 400MHz without HW errors with a Core Voltage of 0.78V which is the max I can get to without changing a resistor. So will run at that for 24Hrs and see how we go? Rich

Well things seem quite stable after a few Hours at 400MHz so I have pushed on to 425MHz, still at 0.77V core voltage and no HW errors. I briefly tried 450MHz but the Core Voltage died completely so that needs to be investigated.

Hey, runners, I am moving and so my miners will be offline for a week or so, but don't worry! I'll be back to the races as soon as internet is set up at the new place. Happy mining!

400?? Blimey, im just managing to get mine running at 260m and being stable lol already got it running on a usb Y-splitter, contemplating getting another one to daisy chain it so it picks up 3 ports on the hub. Reckon that will make much of a difference?

What really matters is how much W each port can deliver.
5V USB2 is 0.5A: 2.5W USB3 is 0.9A: 4.5W
Depending on your vcore, the stick can draw a lot.
The 7 ports superbpag is 5V/12A: 60W !
As I use 6 sticks, I get 10W/port.
I max it at 300Mhs....

Well its only a 2.5 amp power supply to the hub. But last time i measured to amp draw it was 1.2 amp at 250m. All 6 ports (4 data and power, 2 charging) are rated at 500ma when its connected to a computer. Alternatively ive seen a 12v usb buck coveter down to 5v and 2A rating. I can hook that up to my breakout board on my psu and running a decent supply from there.

I don't bother with a hub. I have just taken a USB extension lead and cut into the 5V supply to the Miner and connected a separate 5V PSU. That way you can supply as many Amps as you want. Next move is to make a small resistor change to the miner to allow the Core Voltage to be increased above 0.8V and then we are onward and upward to 500MHz. Rich

i wonder if there is a brand of hub out there with an easy trace pattern on the board that can be cut and have a 6 pin pci-e socket soldered to it. that way you can plug in an psu and have up 150w
suppose you can make something, im not quite that good with crafting electronics on a breakout board. but its most likely doable?
