My wife didn't care of Bitcoin until I bought her a smartphone with Bitcoin and told her that.
Now she wants to buy everything with Bitcoin

Now I think you did it right or not. Now your bitcoin will be in danger, because the wife has probably other planned acquisitions.

The paper wallet is safe. Some altcoins are also pretty safe. But you are right, I had to spend some more Bitcoin and altcoins on... unplanned acquisitions.
Will not happen too much / too often I think (or hope?)

Nice question, I told her about bitcoin by showing her online videos regarding bitcoin. She was not interested to know about bitcoin or internet currency but I convinced her to at least know the basics of it because we all will be using it in the future.

My girlfriend is not interested in technology but she is interested in money. The only way I can start telling her about bitcoin is when we make love I repeat Bitcoin, Bitcoin so she will get curious about it and I can start telling her. Never tried but this strategy might work.

Man, it's all these girls, they are always interested in jewelry, clothing, and for this they need the money. A bitcoin just explode their brains.

Not all girls act like these.  Some are well verse than most of us when talking about business, technology or a career path.  Its that their being cynical affects their understanding towards some thing.  But if we are successful in showing them or converting their belief from hesitant to a supporter of Bitcoin, I can tell you, they will perform better than us LOL.

My views on this is very simple!

One thing I understand about women in-general!

Women are like kids when it comes to explaining things to them. One thing they also hate is lies!

For me, to explain my GirlFriend the concept of Bitcoins.


First off, I'll explain her the web, how it works and the web purpose.

How to sell on the web, how complex to accept payments on the web before Bitcoins.

What are the payment processors on the web e.g. PayPal and how they charge for every successful transaction.


Secondly, Then come down to Bitcoins!

I'll explain Bitcoins to her as digital cryptocurrency that'll help you send and receive money/value online.

I know her 1st question will popup just like that because girls are very smart, nowadays!

Her 2nd question will be why do you accept and use it... My answer to her would be, Bitcoins are very easy to accept and use online without any hassle.

I know she'll be asking a lot of questions later, but never mind her because I'll answer them all!

I would tell them that Bitcoin is electronic currency that is used online for buying stuff, that it is more and more used in day to day life. That there is some stores that accept bitcoin as payment. And best of all would be, there faces when you say that 1 bitcoin is worth about 1000$ XD .
