I have to say sometimes there are days like that and it bothers me so much because of confidence. I mean I get it and there is a good chance that we are going to end up with just having those days no matter how much of a betting "master" you might be, so we can have it too.

But, it just feels like... like am I not even aware of what football is? How could I know NONE of them right? It really screws with my mind and it takes a while to get out. I had this in UCL, wagered on favourites, and you might remember within span of 24 hours Real, City, and so forth all big teams failed to win at the same time, it was a horrible period, gave a break for 2 weeks or so.

Lol I was there too! Had 5 fave teams to win in multibet for UCL games but somehow got only 2 right. Since then I have never picked more than 3 games for a parlay

I didn't care for the long term, sure for a while I didn't want to wager like that but then I ended up with some bigger betting and bigger returns as well.

I am not saying that parlay is the best way to wager or anything like that, of course it is not and you could do individual or just two game betting and that's fine, even two bets within single game too which is what I am doing for the finals as well, multiple bets on a single game but I also love parlay where I wager on 8-9 teams as well, haven't won it for weeks now, but I still keep doing because one win would equal all the losses and would give me a huge return and that will make it all worth it.

I think it is a 100% statement for Messi  and 99% for Mbappe, he is a very young guy who has shown certain vanity at PSG... in the desire to go for how important it is to be world champion and/or personal records-awards.

Now, my doubts=my bets were in the choice for Golden Glove, obviously my selection is Martinez, but if I had no feelings involved I would surely have bet on "Bono".

@Emitdama there’s a basic gambling rule i.e. don’t wager on a sport if you don’t understand it and you broke it, hence avoid wagering on sports you do not follow. Furthermore favourites don’t often win because I was so sure that City would win all the league matches this season but whenever I wagered on them they drew or lost, hence this season wagering on the favourite team didn’t work for me too.

Parlays are a shit ton of fun in my opinion which is why I place such bets regularly though I always wager small amounts due to obvious reasons.

Spending small amounts for parlays in order to win big is totally worth it due to the fun factor and the small possibility of winning something huge from them. This is why I feel that big parlay bets are basically mini-lotteries.

They weren't that high on odds, but even before the world cup started they were the favourites they are at finals now and look like they could be better than Argentina as well for tomorrow. Glad that I picked that up, in a world cup where every game was a big shocker, France was the only one that kept it steady and had a good run if you ask me, they didn't have any shocking results nor even penalties and such, just straight up won their games. Argentina before the world cup was a risky move, and could still pay very well.

For Messi or Mbappé golden boots, I expect Messi to be favored to win because it's most likely his last World Cup and selecting him seems to be more likely but if Mpappé scores and France wins, Mbappé will be awarded most likely.
If I would make a bet, I would bet on Messi, personally.  

Mbappe has less playing minutes than Messi but Messi has one more assist than Mbappe.

In the final match, I believe both Messi and Mbappe will play it fully until the final whistle (if they won't get injuries). If any of them score more goals than the competitor, that player will take the Golden Boot of World Cup 2022.

If they end with total goals, Messi would win the Golden Boot. Because I believe Messi has more probability to contribute assists in the final match than Mbappe. Based on their playing style, it's not easy to see Mbappe contribute assists for his team-mates.

The way I understand Golden Boots award, It’s base on the score count then move on to the assist, game time and so on but I’m just worried on who has the advantage with there current stats. The sportsbook is giving Messi an advantage but I believe this is because his popularity to win the finals but what if Mbappe scores and Messi didn’t. Does the award will go to Mbappe despite their team lose or Golden boots somehow has different criteria aside from points count?

i bet on argentina because they have been without a world cup title for a long time so i am sure they will not let france win back to back world cup argentina have big ambitions for that so i think argentina will surprise everyone in the final later but the match i think more than 2 goals, good luck with your bet

I use it to increase the entertainment value of the matches and it works. I know I may not be winning a lot, but that is never my aim, my aim is to have fun and if I am having fun then there is nothing to worry about for me at all it is fine to lose as long as fun part is there.

your stance is quite reasonable and seems like fun, but not as easy as you say, because most people come to play with the goal of doubling money, so when defeat comes then frustration will come and risk more money again.
maybe you are a person who doesn't care too much about money and the economy is enough in my opinion

The Messi/Mbappe "score more goals" line is much better odds than direct Golden Boot odds, though of course you lose if they share but I'd put money on that special.

Team to kickoff is strangely leaning heavily towards France (1.45 vs 2.75). Thought it was all coin toss, and winner usually chooses the goal to attack then loser picks who kicks off first. Suppose it's tradition to let the holders defend? Anyone can shed light on this?

Lol yeah sometimes I consider parlay as a martingale strategy on sportsbooking, which once we win, it will recover the losses we have suffered before

Wrong. France suffered an upset too when they lost to Tunisia in the group stages which screwed so many punters including me.

This is completely silly reasoning. Many teams haven't touched the cup even once so far in the history of the tournament. Both teams are evenly matched and anything could happen at the end of the day.

I think Messi would give up the golden boot to win the World Cup. Who really cares about individual honours if they end up with a runners up medal. On Sunday, Mbappe & Messi will have eyes only for being world champion, not personal glory.

I predicted this as well on another option of betting, he will sit back and do his best to pass his team into the goal, this means Alvarez wins that honors... only way Messi will score is penalty which he already took, freekick or if his team need to win with very little time left.

Win or lose in gambling , at this point I think it matter less because we just saw last night the best football game in history of football! I barely had any energy left to get home last night and this game will forever stay as a memory to me even if I had France to win in 90 minutes , my heart was always cheered for Messi to lift that trophy. It's an end of an era and Messi has really completed football , setting a standard so high for the next generations , that I don't think anyone will compete with Messi and his achievements. I also do think that Mbappe will have 3 world cups by the end of his career , just like Pele.
