I am young enough to not witness the final match of World Cup 1966 between England and West Germany (4 - 2) and Word Cup 1986 between Argentina and West Germany (3 - 2) but since World Cup 1998, this is the best final match in my opinion.

If we look farther in the past, World Cup 2022 final can be classified at a same magic level of two above final matches. In total goals were scored and in match courses.

Argentina would have won this final more easily if Otamendi did not play careless in a situation which caused a first goal for Mbappe. Before that mistake, Otamendi already did another mistake but it did not cause any goal for France. Not only Otamendi but some other Argentinian players likely were too much confident and turned to be more carelessly since 60th to 80th minutes.

A first goal for France is unavoidable with such carelessness and a second goal is a consequence of Argentina panic.

The substitution between Di Maria and Acuna has impact too. Scaloni wanted to send Acuna in to secure their defense but after that their players became more carelessly and over confident. At the same time, their attacking became weaker and could not create pressure on French defenders and midfielders.

Actually France is already done during the 80minutes mark if Mbappe didn’t save the game doing a back to back goal with just a minute interval. Plus that goal of Messi is already a game closer if Mbappe didn’t save them again. France should be proud that they manage to enter the penalty kick round despite Argentina has the superiority all throughout the game.

If this wasn't the greatest football game I have ever seen then I do not know what would be. It was certainly amazing, I expected France to win, they didn't play well at all and Mbappe played quite amazingly but the rest wasn't that great, he couldn't carry the team all by himself.

The opposite was expected, Messi to play amazingly but the team playing badly, so he would fail to carry them but that wasn't the case, Argentina played greatly for like 80 minutes, and then they recovered after 2-2 as well. Losing this bet shouldn2t be a bad feeling to anyone, it was a wonderful historic game and we all had so much fun and it's okay to sometimes lose some bets unless if it was way too big amount.

It is always great to see people from here to be winning something (or sad to see you almost winning) and its great to see you guys having known Argentina. I didn't, I failed, and unfortunately, I assumed France would win, in any case, I am happy that whatever I did, I did it here. My pick was France early on, but I think they had health issues just before final match and that affected them in first half.

I only watched my first games in 2002, but I was still quite "young" (teenage) at the time, and at that time it was all about France and Brazil, because of 1998 but also the first time I really saw Asians play vs Europeans properly. It was okay, this World Cup was way more dramatic, and first time I followed betting more than watching lol

Talking about the match Argentina deserves the win by far France doesnt play for 80 minutes because Argentina control the whole game, and they came back only because Otamendi make a really stupid penalty.

I have a friend who is Argentinian and I can tell you that I haven't received a single sensible message from him yet From a nation that is famous for "after breakfast beer", it's gonna take a while before they are sober again lol. Isn't that weird? I mean the fact that Argentina played better as a team versus France was terrible and Mbappe carried them as further as he could. I mean it's reality that in normal situations France has a better "team", and Argentina usually gets carried by Messi all by himself so to see that reversed in the world cup final was a shocker to me.

It would be wrong to say that Argentina does not deserve to win the World Cup.  Because Argentinian players play very well and especially Messi is in Argentina team who is world famous and many record holders football player.  Yes it is true that France team has Mbappe and some other good players who have taken France a long way in the game of football.  However, in the final match of the World Cup, France tried hard to win, but the result was a penalty, Argentina's goalkeeper performed very well, and Argentina was able to win the cup after 36 years.

I don't think Di Maria was able to play for longer than that. He missed previous two games altogether and even though there wasn't any real information I believe he must have had some small injury. He went out gave he best and got substituted, nobody can complain about that.

Mbappe proved that he is one of the best players in the world. I don't like his character, way to full of himself for his age, but there is no denying he is a world class player.

Firstly, I didn't lose a lot, did I? It was the smallest bet possible, 0.01 mBTC. It's not that easy to be frustrated about losing 0.17 USD, even if you really want to.   Secondly, if you think of it, you should feel good about hitting close to the target. It gives you hope of hitting the target next time.
