Thanks for sharing that jeremy. A pity as viewing it would have been too late for me. I was truly tempted to put a couple of bets on the outsiders, Parasite and Joker, so would have won a small punt had I done so. I watched Parasite, long before I knew it was going to be a nominee. It's typical South Korean fare, if you're familiar... and I thought some of the logic in the film was flawed (but it usually always is in East Asian films) so I would never have guessed it to win best film. I wonder if what Phoenix said a week or two before about diversity somehow had an effect on voting? Not that I thought the other nominees should have won!

And hooray for the snub on Netflix? Disagree?

OH MY GOD I did not realize Sportsbet had Oscar betting and look at the odds for Parasite 4x! Did anyone bet on this and win? I was telling everybody that it would win and I was wondering where to place bets. I saw Stake had it but I do not play there and then here we go with the winner. First foreign film to win,,, not bad.

If I’m being totally honest I haven’t seen any of those movies. I’ll obviously have to watch JOKER but I haven’t got round to it yet. Glad to see some legendary actors getting recognition, the Oscars usually give credit to some really weird films & unheard of actors.

It's pretty easy to offer odds even for "off topic betting", since I don't think Sportsbet is compiling their own odds for events like Oscars, just like most bookmakers don't do When lots of bookmakers still did, those were the golden years, but those are gone. Nowadays you can just copy odds or have services like betradar and put markets up without having to be knowledgeable in this very sports/topic. There are some frontrunners with early odds and the rest just copies, maybe adding some of their own insights and some juice here and there. Saves you a lot of manpower and headache and is a pretty safe way to make money as a bookmaker.

Honestly, I didn't see this coming AT ALL, I was definitely certain that Joaquin Phoneix (greatest name ever in history of humanity) would have to troubles getting the award and he has spent his time on stage quite honorably for the betterment of others instead of thanking people who helped him win, which in of itself is a great judgement call by him.

However, I didn't see Parasite winning at all, I knew it was definitely the best international movie and that was an easy pick however I didn't expected it to win best picture award at all, which quite easily could be attributed to academy members telling Hollywood to make some sort of original movie (the common criticism and feedback from Oscars) instead of doing the things that already has been done before and just put something new into old things.

Let's hope Parasite winning this would open up Oscars towards international movies from now on instead of just Hollywood movies and we will get to see a lot more foreign movies involved with Oscars turning it into an international award ceremony instead of just an american one.

I believe that's his 2nd Oscar award. I think he previously won an Oscar in 2013 as a producer of "12 Years a Slave." Well, it's his first in that category (best supporting actor)

If I remember correctly, a few months back, whoever was sitting in there would have shared a space with a very popular lady, am I right? I definitely would love a shot at sitting in ANY stadium in England or even Europe. But probably just going there would cost a lot of money, so I would cough up only for my team Barca, but I'd give away Watford to a fan for sure!

John Henry & Linda Pizzuti sit on the other side in the Main Stand. They will probably be in the Executive Lounge which I’ve also been lucky enough to experience (only once though).

OH WOW, I didn't know Brad Pitt was a producer in the 12 years a slave movie, he was even on stage and talked and all, for the life of me I couldn't remember that. This is a bit different tho, isn't it? I mean he literally won for his own acting here, producer award is very important of course but in our minds Brad is an actor and not a producer, so him not having any Oscars for acting was probably what people were talking about. I still can't shake the shock of Parasite winning the best picture, this is one of those times where sportsbooks either won a lot of money or lost a lot of money.

Many sportsbooks gave 1917 favors to win it all and it ended up going to Parasite who had huge odds, so if too many people wagered on Parasite, sportsbooks will have to make a big payment, if everyone wagered on 1917 then sportsbooks made a ton of money.

Oh, its hard to find good tips for Asian UCL sa the games are so unpredictable with a lot of goals or none ...so its kinda double edge betting whenever you play Asian UCL but if I were you I would go with something simple like both to to score or over 1.5 goals / over 0.5 1st half. Also if you have a lot of option you can go for yellow cards as their football is not so tactical and they commit a lot of faults... .

Why not waiting 1 more week and bet on real UCL ? We're almost there.
