Perhaps the fact that Ronaldo has never won the World Cup still bothers him. For such a great player, not having that title must be very painful, because becoming a world champion is the pinnacle of a footballer’s career. I have a feeling Ronaldo would be willing to play until he is 50 if that’s what it takes to win the World Cup.

He loves the sport alright but then, his letting his ambition push his body to the very limits for an athlete of his age. I did expect that he would be done with international football after the World Cup but, imagine my surprise when I heard on the news of him saying, “he was going to continue playing for the team, if the team still wants him and vice versa”. He just doesn’t know when to stop, wants to set a record that would be very difficult to beat but then, he ought to realize it’s better to end it while you’ve still got a lot of respect and admiration from the fans. I agree with you that Ronaldo should step aside for faster, younger and sharp players to play his Portugal national team but it seems he wouldn't stop playing for Portugal until, he scores his 1000 goals which he has set down for himself to achieve. I do feel bad when people are mocking him or saying all sort of trash towards his current performance but they forget that he's already old and cannot perform like when he was younger.

That 1000 goals tally is definitely on his cards, and already this season goals seem to have slowed down for him which isn't looking good, at this point if he wants the goals best he plays in the lower league maybe say some Portuguese  tier 2 to farm the goals and history will remember him for that

None of this is hardly surprising since the dude always suffered from a crazy inflated ego and becoming the richest footballer through the sport alone sent it to another level, but his pros outweigh his cons for his fans like me. He is still a goal scoring machine.

You have well said. It would have been better he retires in active service than remove from the team because of injury or old age. And currently he is 41 years old. He can join the management team and still be there to tell them what to do if really he loves the country and the team to win cups. I think when players who are of age to retire but refuse to retire is caused by greediness. They don't what to let go and replace by another players.
And as it is, with his age,he can't play like before again matter, Messi humbly resign from the National Team. Ronaldo would have done the same.

Jose Mourinho was a bad player, and he realized that fact very early so he chose to be a coach and succeeded. Many legendary players did not become great coaches later, Maradona, Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard for example and with Cristiano Ronaldo, he already had a lot of money, so he will not need to become a coach. Additionally, with his super high ego, it's impossible for him to work with any club's presidents and other assistant coaches as well as players.

Rijkaard is not a great coach, but I certainly wouldn't compare him with the likes of Maradona or Van Basten when it comes to managerial careers. He took over Barcelona during one of the worst periods in decades, when they hadn't won a trophy for a couple of seasons, and he turned things around quite significantly.
Sure, he had some great players at his disposal but nevertheless, it wasn't an easy job to do.

I expected much more interesting match with more goals and win for France, but Italy managed to get a draw in this match.
Mbappe and few other players didnt play for France, and maybe that was the reason favorite home team didnt win this time.
It would not be easy for me to find enough motivations to play in any nations league matches.

Those situation is not really a good set up to deal with, since imagine instead of start to build a rhythm with their teams. They got pulled away by their national duties. Their possible momentum got disrupted and provably their performance might get affected on this.

Well looks like they might experience fatigue and other issues.

But hopefully there's no more bigger troubles occurs and still we could enjoy each games they play.

Some of our big players injured, but Wirtz as usual playing the form of his life for Germany. Is it Liverpool's formation? Is it England? I really need our big guys to start performing (or rather, delivering).
