Hi DEV Team. In the light of the latest events, I am planning to create a newsplatform on my www.brexitnow.co.uk where journalists can be rewarded in cryptocurrency for writing articles related to #Brexit. I am thinking to use steem.io as financial reward. It could be a gamechanger. So I am thinking to propose you a partnership where we can split the income in STEEM. Please let me know if you see a value in this. Thank you. Gabi

steem is decentralized and runs on a blockchain. you can do whatever you want with it, there's no need for partnerships. unless you want a deal with the frontend steemit.com though

If this means that we can add more value to both STEEM and brexitnow, then my answer is yes. I am open to any ideas.

P.S: I am sorry for the earlier spam on the Steem slack, It wasn't my brightest idea of the day, I take it back

Am I spamming? Report me!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Just saw this being shared on facebook group thus leads me to finding your thread here in bitcointalk. ADZ actually came in mind when i first heard of it on facebook. okay so yeah i'll join why not. but when i was about the create an account, it says "Password length should be 16 characters or more. Password acts as your private key and should be strong." As if 8 characters isn't difficult enough to put in mind. why not just make it 8 and give us the option to set up the 2FA?
Yes, the password length thing is way to much. Also if you want more users, you should reach a wide public and not only
those on Facebook. Just a thought.

Thanks, we agree and are iterating quickly to add email and SMS sign up to the site. The passphrase issue is difficult to tackle because keys are entirely client side, which makes our password management much like blockchain.info. However, we are always looking out for simpler and better solutions and will look more into the ideas above. Thanks for being an early visitor to the site!

<opted to also site the reply, but addressing what's highlighted>

Okay, Steem dudes, I like what I see and admire the team. I can easily envision this or a clone of such being incorporated into YuTübopołis' GAWdiose plans catering to the highly opinionated YouTube community, of which its millions of users currently pen across all platforms sans remittance as gramercy for their publications.

This site needs more media coverage to the non IT community and publishing industry.

How developed is the api? If steem team can push this to be a standard, there will be wider acceptance and a game changer.

What is the VEST?

It is the older unit for Steem Power. 1 million VESTS is currently worth about about 200 SP.

There is an bug in the account creator right now. If you want to pay for an account or have a higher-ranked bitcointalk account then see my offer here to get an account without needing to go through the web registration system:
