True, no matter how genius people are they are still normal people that made mistakes.  But I believe WINGS developer can learn from what just happen to DAO just now.  And if ever there are exploits / bug or other issues, let's just hope that the Team can found it and patch it before bad people use it to harm the community.

Sure it is a software , but it made our lives more convenient don't you think? I bet coding is not in your veins. I take pride of a product from sets of functions and procedures. Yeah nothing is bug-free software but hey it is really helpful. You dont even realized how important to have a p2p application in the Net. Thank you napster .

A troll is obviously does not appreciate a great work as you did. With Ethereum DAO compromised was not a thing to ignore. Ethereum is an open source system which allows it to be exposed and taken advantage of. Wings platform has not been released yet and you are now doubting the system because of its namesake or synonymous to Ethereum/DAO. If you people don't believe in Wings Platform better stay away from this thread . You dont have enough appreciation of good work.

I know I said I wouldn't reply but I can't help it - if you 'believe' in something which hasn't even got a whitepaper yet then I suggest you join a religious movement instead. I'm not saying that to knock Wings, which looks very interesting and exciting so far and will probably be awesome, just to say that you have a very irrational mindset if you simply pick things which look like they might be good and then create some kind of cult member attitude around them which requires you to try to block out and silence anything which contradicts your own made up version of what you think it will be.

Ok technical whitepapers are essentials to products initiating ICOs. Im with you there, but what I disagree is  that comparing wings to a compromised ethereum. That there is a possibility wings might experienced the same fate as ethereum because of a mere SYNONYMOUS DAO marketing name.

Recognizing it and talking about what can be done may change that fact.

All of this should be considered before making a hasty launch.

Yes, its difficult timing for a few reasons as you say. But at the same time they've already started things like the signature bounty so they can only leave it so long before people will start to get unhappy and/or remove the signatures. Hopefully The DAO will refund everyone's ethers before too long and BTC will find a range to settle in and they can start the ICO after that.

If not then perhaps they could start the ICO and just have it run for quite a long time?

The Dao platform vision (if it works) could bring tremendous wealth to wings token holders.

I see successful ico, but afterwards who knows.
