I have a basic simple question. For example there are 100,000,000 Wings, 25M for developers team and 75M for investors/rewards. If it is open for mining then there will be more than 100 million Wings? Sorry for my ignorance as I just entered the crypto world 3 months ago.
i don't think there will be newly created wings.. because it is explain on the whitepaper , miner rewards is paid by transaction fee. i could be wrong though
The first versions of WINGS will not have their own blockchain (first launching on RSK), and hence no mining, hence no new wings. If we get to the point of the "feeless blockchain" - that means that some transaction types will be "free" rather than pay a fee to reward certain behaviors as they add value to the network/community, but also miners will need to get paid. The stakeholders will have to decide about how to allocate resources and rewards; it might be that this feeless blockchain uses some kind of coin derived from WINGS.
At this time it is not clear whether this can be supported just by tx fees from non-free transactions, by fees from DAO projects who benefit from the networked community, some inflation or some other infrastructure coin. Or some combo of all; we are watching and analyzing other projects to determine possible paths. Inflation would require a substantial majority using the forecast market function in WINGS DAO predicting that it would be a profitable thing to do. More substantial than a 51% attack on Bitcoin. We have people working on DAO constitutional code and things like that are part of DAO governance controlled via smart contracts.
In any case that is perhaps 2 years out and we (the WINGS DAO) have a lot of time to figure out the optimal structure.
