By downloading the sgminer, I get google chrome alerts about malicious software and kaspersky block it immediately.

What is up?


EDIT: BTW if someone is using an HD 7970 and can post the settings, I'm grateful.

I got these alerts too, it is normal. If you make a virustotal scan on any mining software you'll get some  ''bitcoinminer'' warnings.

As for the settings i'm sorry but I only have some R9 290(x)

Just going from memory here but I dont think you can solo mine XRE.
XRE is forked from a newer BTC implementation that does not support solo mining.

Yeah halving is coming and it will be a good thing for the coin. I also bought some cheap coins before any price increase

People are mining it for sure, whats more important is clear development goals and some more exchange

Nvidia is still a lot better in mining but its the way it is, even updated AMD miner could not match 10xx speed

Halving is very close . This coin needs some more publicity, It is a decent bargain at current prices.
