The difficult question for me, because trading for me still to some extent entertainment, hobbies.
Well, I think I would have enough 500 Bitcoins. Cryptocurrency for me it's extra income from the main job.

How many bitcoins you would must have that you can go to retire?

What would be your point, that you would say i go and quite my real life job and i dont trade anymore?

i would not retire because it would be boring as hell. you have to do something. why are Bill Gates and Elon Musk still working 15 hours a day?  just think about it some more.

There is a big difference in working 15 hours a day
and attending meetings and deciding how your wealth is spent
(sure if my company i would also pay myself for every second my eyes or ears are open)

the majority of us, would be able to stop/retire in a sense, once we have secure reliable income,
like rent from property in good locations.
anything else we do can then just be a hobby,
still ways to keep ourselves busy and earn at same time, but without the need to earn your living from it,
if you already have an income coming in, which is what you need to retire
(not just stop working once you saved a bit, as saving will run out quickly)

100BTC or even 50BTC is enough for me to quit my real job, then I can build my own real business and earn profit with it but I think it will hard to forget bitcoin so I will still trade bitcoin.
Owning a minimarket is my dream Smiley

you will be surprised how little that amount is these days, and wont last 2 minutes to setup any type of business,
you would not even be able to buy the property for your business at those amounts

maybe he is waiting for btc to skyrocket to 10k, then 50 or 100 would be a nice amount to have

it's not like everyone can aim to have 10k bitcoin....

yes and how long til then ?

its annoying how many dreamers use bitcoin, we need to be realistic,
yes i believe BTC will reach that amount eventually,
but it would not be wise to just sit and wait till then as it may be a very long time,
BTC will need mass adoption to reach that figure IMO
and people just sitting on coins (or satoshi) just waiting to get rich does not help BTC in terms of it getting mass adoption.
also by the time BTC reaches 10K, you may also find property prices and startup costs have also increased dramatically

I am going to retire when I see that I can life a good and comfortable live. But that is not something for me to worry about now because I still have a long way to go in live
life good and comfortable are not aim of my life, but being useful and can make people around me happy because of me,and its most biggest sastification in my life, and the one of many way to reach that,i should have much money.

Perhaps it is small amount for you and for some other people, but it is big enough for me to start my real business such as a small shop. I have a friend who owns a small shop and he only start with around 250,000,000 rupiahs (equal to 41btc). Half for the property and half for the stocks..
Big or small depends on where we are living imo.

I haven't started earning enough to cover my daily expenses so i don't have any plan for retirement but at current price 1000 btc could be enough for me to live happily till i die here in Nepal.

But for retire I need little more.

I personally think maybe 1000 bitcoin to have can make retire and start enjoying my life with my family placing it in a good and lasting investment would let me stop trading and gain alone with my monthly earnings with this good investment maybe forex & other markets

Bitcoin wise, I'd be willing to keep going until I retire from my fiat job and go to live where-ever I end up. What I'd like to see before I retire, however, is finally crossing the line of having worked for 1BTC, and then work my way to 2, 5, 10, and then stop at some point.

I don't know if I'll even be interested in this at that point, so I may only ever cross the threshold of holding 1BTC and finishing up there, holding it until I need to sell it.

The more I have the better it is.I wouldn't mind going retire if I have 10,000 coins anything below this and I am still in quest to make more and more

4500 BTC, give or take, at the current exchange rate. Ideally, would also want a home fully paid off so no mortgage or rent.

One thing to note - consider a 1 year sabbatical once you reach 1000 or so BTC. It will be a real grind to reach 4000 and the year off will give you energy to keep charging forward.

About $650k in BTC. With that invested in a smart way, in crypto, I think I could quit my job and retire.

The moment where I can match my current investment into my retirement funds, I would be satisfied that I would be secure enough to survive inflation in the future. That is a significant amount, but a good goal, if Bitcoin can just break through into the mainstream environment.

I would retire like a king, if this happens. ^smile^
