No, you dont have to if you are satisfied with old one, its same protocol and chain, but new wallet have many fixes in connectivity, its less resource hungry, btc and gold price tabs are not there anymore, to avoid big network weight and speedup functionallity, code is cleaned, it gathers more connections then before, and it has few cosmetic fixes.

It was done most for fixing compiling errors.
