Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
I dont think this will happend, just in case if gouverment makes a new coin and all the peoples will know it , but thats not possible

It is possible but i don't think m-Eth or similar pump&dump scamcoins will succeed it. It can be done by only big companies like Microsoft, Apple, Google etc. Even if those companies wanted to have their own global currency, they need to make huge investments which may result in failing everything.
That's why bitcoin needs to fail first to get replaced by something else. Only after that there will be a new one.

But I'm sure one day surely bitcoin cryptocurrency will be replaced by a far superior and profitable. But time is still very long, so we can still benefit greatly in the bitcoin

Every altcoin is paired against bitcoin. Even them ethers are traded againat bitcoin. Like all stocks are paired with USD, all shitcoins pair w btc. BTC will never die.

many of these altcoins are also paired with USD and other fiat currencies like EUR. that is no reason for bitcoin and not dying of it although i am saying the same thing bitcoin is not going to be replaced by these altcoins but the reason for it is those altcoins are not good enough to be able to take bitcoin place.

The only other crypto currency I can think of replacing the bitcoin is the Ethereum. Many bitcoiners are buying it.
I think it will be tough going and I do not say no because I see ethereum continue growing steadily but I think still long to expect ethereum can replace bitcoin.

If something big happened to bitcoin and make the price of bitcoin goes down and even only have small price, i'm sure bitcoin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency.

The price and the popularity of the Ethereum is going up at the moment. It also has faster confirmation time. It might replace bitcoin.

You should use your sense, now Bitcoin is already Crypto currency, So why bitcoin need to change into an other crypto currency, Also lets take an example, now bitcoin has been changed into other crypto, so it is totally awful for bitcoin, because now Bitcoin has already achieved popular place than other crypto currencies and thats why people are trust it and use it. So i don't think it would be possible in future.

We don't know in which situation can bitcoin replaced by another one, but bitcoin should go to $0 and then something else will come. Bitcoin is unique and it's the first one in the cryptoworld and has a large support from the dev and from the community so I doubt bitcoin can be replaced.

I don't think of a specific altcoin that will displace bitcoin from its current hegemony. I prefer to think that sooner rather than later will occur a conjunction of events that might make the bitcoin gradually lose its current value. Remember that even almighty technologic advances gradually were displaced like yahoo or IBM, so it is impossible to think that bitcoin will remain forever.

I dont think this will happend, just in case if gouverment makes a new coin and all the peoples will know it , but thats not possible Yeah I too don’t think so too, bitcoin won’t be replaced by any other cryptocurrencies at least in this century. Because bitcoin is now more well-known to the world than other coins and there are many people choose bitcoin as their cryptocurrency, other coins can hardly have the position that bitcoin has right now. So, it’s gonna be a steppingstone for other crypto coins to be like bitcoin.

Finally! There's only a few people who realizes that Eth is a scamcoin and a lot of people are taking huge investments in it. Bitcoin is probably the only trusted coin there is. Well, litecoin almost made it but I'm not sure exactly what happened.

We might need a clean start of the Ethereum from the beginning.

And if that's the case just ride all trend that coin will bring because in the first place it's really not meant for a long term investment and all other altcoin are the same way like that even they have such good achievement in the early phase.

Bitcoin nearly has unchallenged monopoly in crypto market.I dont think there is any coin that can beat bitcoin but nothing is impossible and certain.Who knows when and what.

I'm not sure it will be. But the possibility is always there. I mean, who knows? Bitcoin may be gone tomorrow or the other day. We can't say. It is virtual money. It's hard to control so it's hard to predict.

It can happen. It is possible for other cryptocurrencies to replace Bitcoins, but nothing major in going to occur in the short-term. Bitcoin has a much higher market cap and price compared to various other cryptocurrencies. Therefore, I believe that BTC is going to stay in prime position for some time longer. Moreover, it is unlikely that BTC is replaced as the main cryptocurrency because everyone who is new to cryptocurrencies would think of Bitcoin. For example, when I was introduced, I thought that Bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency. (I am obviously wrong). Therefore, everyone would use Bitcoin rather than other cryptocurrencies. These are my opinions.
