I think In the future cryptocurrencies will be more valuable... There are a lot of possibilities with them, like privacity, security, instant transactions... People just have to notice that.

We can't know if bitcoin will be replaced in the future, but I'm pretty sure, It will be still very important, since it was the first cryptocurrency ever.

There are many better alternatives that offer way more stuff than bitcoin. For example Ethereum, it offers smart contracts and that was something that wasn't achievable with bitcoin before. But really, it's not all about the technology. Why hasn't Ethereum overtaken bitcoin yet? Because bitcoin has the reputation. Bitcoin is already way more widespread than other altcoins, even though that the technology may be inferior. Also, there were no crowdsales. No premines. Although the early miners got most of the cheap coins, there was at least an opportunity for the average Joe to mine as well. Whether he took that offer or not, it was really up to him to decide.

I don't think bitcoin will be replaced by these altcoins. Altcoins are just copies of bitcoin and bitcoin will always be the original one. No matter how you put it, people would still prefer having bitcoins because it's the main crypto-currency. Unlike altcoins, bitcoin also has no devs that can just run away with your money.

Most ICOs nowadays are just there to scam people. Once the coin has been released, they will say that they are facing difficulties and just leave the project. You can't blame them, though. Even though there's good visions and objectives written in their thread, their main goal is actually to make money easily and quickly.

You can actually blame them. They are scammers. They invest like 5-10BTC into a fancy site, well thought out vision, nice thread, well written white paper, etc. They have some features behind the hand that they will release slowly to keep people happy so they are not getting a bad feeling. But the main thing is that they sell you fake promises. And that is a fraudulent activity.

But they are not the only party to be blamed. The empty headed people that actually invest money into a certain ICO, are either dumb people really believing into the motives of the project, or they are people just looking for a gamble where they have 50% chance of making great profits, or losing a lot money. Either way, they are putting money into an obvious scam. That's something that makes them lose any compassion IMO.

yeap, and also bitcoin is an open source, so everyone can contribute to making it better, and I honestly don't think that it will ever be replaced. Most of the people who have just heard of bitcoin dont even know that alt-coins exists and when someone finds out about alt-coin and sees that it costs around few $ unlike btc that 700$, he'll turn away from alt-coin just because of the price.

What we like to  happen with bitcoin is to see that it will continue to progress, we have so much trust with bitcoin as we put our money with it betting the future of bitcoin will give us some decent profit, it will not be replace I hope because people trusted it.

I think this is will not happen becasue i know for sure thast the bitcoimn cannot be replaced by an other crypto currency just becuase i know that many dev work hard on it and the bitcoin is becoming strongerr and stronger!

Bitcoin can be replaced by another cryptocurrency in future. Yeah i agree it is hard to replaced by other crypto since we are    $11,409,353,428 according to coinmarket cap.
So it is impossible that it can be replace by other crypto and i think it can be still increase more this following year we will experience more adoption and more merchant can accept bitcoin as payment locally or online..

You are correct but I think the reason of why a new better coin has not appeared is because it is simply too soon, until new technology, algorithms come forward then we will not see such a coin.
