Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
It is very possible. Perhaps another crypto currency will step up. Maybe it will make better use of blockchain technology I am not sure if that is possible though but perhaps they can solve issues or have a better system. Though bitcoin is here to stay for sure. |

It really doesn't matter for Bitcoin if altcoins with "great" features are popping up. Take a look into the altcoin section. You'll find plenty of coins offering something that Bitcoin in one way or another can't offer. Other than for speculation purposes, these features don't hold any value. They are nothing more than gimmicks. If you take that into consideration, then you will know that Bitcoin offers people exactly what they are looking for. Yes, confirmations can be slow from time to time, but that's the only con people can name up. Bitcoin is enough. There is no need for alternatives with their "great" features that no one is actually using. As soon as Segwit is activated, then you can say that Bitcoin has become a decent bit more future proof. |

Nothing is permanent in real world and we need to adopt change in future if we find better and innovative currency in future then it will surely replace bitcoins and if people are getting more benefited with it then it will take no long time for people to switch to other currency from where they are getting better benefits. |

You can think again, Does bitcoin replaced by another cryptocurrency. Maybe you already know the answer. One main reason bitcoin is a mother of another cryptocurrency it's difficult to replace it for now . but nothing is impossible. Yes, i agree.. it is really hard to replace bitcoins since it is the most indemand in all of cryptocurrency now a days. The best-known cryptocurrency is Bitcoin. It is also the most user friendly in all cryptocurrency, we will see in the future. since nothing is forever. |

true, for the moment, very few cryptocurrency that dpat outperform bitcoin prices, but although there are some cryptocurrency that are more expensive than the bitcoin nonetheless cryptocurrency still less popular in bitcoin appeal. Cryptocurrency that is more expensive than bitcoin? What would be that? The price of bitcoin says how valuable it is. If another crypto would overtake that price then it is going to be chaos. Which is I doubt would be possible. |

I think that last days have confirmed that probably, bitcoin currency will be the strongest from the cryptocurrencies. I just dont see any other coin that would fit so many people, and that could be a good replacer for current main cryptocurrency- others are just or too week, or too small for now. Maybe in few years, something will change  |

After the genesis of Bitcoin in 2009, several currencies have popped up with different concept, much better technology, speed and privacy. But these hundred of currencies have just managed to lower btc dominance from 100% to 83%.
Each year some currency becomes famous, people say they that it will be next Bitcoin. Still Bitcoin dominance isn't affected.
Take example of Ethereum, much better than Bitcoin technology. But still it's very small in front of Bitcoin.
There are high chances that Bitcoin gets replacement, if some continued attacks start on Bitcoin.

well its a very very low chance that it will be replaced by any other cryptocurrency .to be honest to beat bitcoins it has to be very stable in the market which is very rare i guess .well it can happen that any other cryptocurrncy comes in the market and may have a very high price but to be honest it is very very likely that it will come in the market |

Nothing is impossible. Imagine if satoshi comes out of anonymity and plans to make a better crytocurrency. All men will believe him because he has seen it through. That brought the idea of thinking beyond the satoshi. If a better than bitcoin has not come, it will come, It just need a mind more creative than satoshi. The technology is not up to 10 years, we shouldnt be too much in a hurry and jump to conclusion. Anything can happen soon.

Probably not replaceable because when we come to know about cryptocurrency we first deal with bitcoin and we know most about bitcoin and this we adopt only bitcoin at first but gradually we come to know that other coins also exist so we deal work them too. But no other coin could bypass bitcoin as bitcoin has maximum market capitalization. Well there are some coins rate is quit high then bitcoin still that coin could surpass bitcoin

Big possibility? Where does that possibility come from? Because i don't see anyone losing trust from bitcoin as you said it would only be replaceable if people stop trusting it anymore which by far does not seem to be coming that soon, so basically it is not going to be replaced early this century. |

I'm not sure if a better technology will emerge for the next few years, but at the moment Bitcoin is a market leader, and most of the technologies proposed in other projects can somehow be implemented in Bitcoin.

In the coming years as the technology progress went high a possibility that will happen to those online companys, stores, and online selling will be introduced and use this technology application of BTC. This bitcoin will gain its reputation and shouldn't be replaced with other cryptocurrency. |

Bitcoin is the father of all crypto and no ALTS could able to surpass it for sure no matter how they upgrade on the future but still bitcoin would be commonly used by people for sure on the long run. Thigns doesnt last forever on its place and it would surely replaced by someone else but on bitcoin it may be replaced but it would took long time.

Many coins had been invented in past few years but seems rather difficult to replace bitcoin as number one cryptocurrency, it's good to have multiple coins in the top of market so it could be used as trading object and improve digital currency world. |
