Made a ton of money shorting Litecoin on leverage .

Everyone holding or longing LTC is a GIANT retard.

Just look at all the trading pairs; it's been going down for years, and nothing will reverse this trend. We had double bottoms, triple bottoms, inverse H&S, combined with goods news and sentinment... all of its proved to be useless.

Have opened a new 20x leveraged short position with 80% of my portfolio.

I expect another crash to perhaps even sub $2.50 on quarterlies, LTC spot easily sub $2.50.

Litecoin is officially done.

(PS: I was long during my "good LTC post" period, and sold when it hit $4.70 - still profit, LOL!).

when the SegWit hype is here, you will really see it. but it has not yet happened. that hype will be at least a 2x rise and even there is possibility of breaking the 0.01BTC resistance and going even higher to some records.
the volume has picked up though which is always a good sign of accumulation by the whales.

You shouldn't promote your opinion in such a rude way here. Nobody knows for sure what happens in the future. Especially with such things like cryptocurrencies. In gambling business litecoin is still among the most popular cryptocurrencies. This means that people tend to use it more. Thus, the demand is likely to grow, and so will the price. I think litecoin is just having its bad time now. Bitcoin also had bad times. Just look at the price diagram from 2014 till 2015.

LTC is the closest substitution for BTC - so if there is a BTC hardfork related meltdown - then LTC will be used instead. The lack of innovation in LTC which was dragging it down for so long - but now it is its advantage.

Personally I don't weight the probability of a BTC HF too much - but for sure it has been growing for some time.

The 75% threshold might be a big advantage for Litecoin in such situations. I always thought that 95% consensus was too high. Maybe it's not, but that's bringing a headache to some holders. Many crypto enthusiasts are impatient, I saw many of them waiting for SegWit activation to occur by the end of December, or beginning of January.

I have a secret to home mining LTC yet...I call it attic mining..you go to attic and sell stuff on ebay and covert it to LTC or BTC.....I got 5k in my attic of crap I bet
if I sell it for crypto on ebay...and crypto tanks...I still have now an empty attic...shore up the subfloor their with plywood and a rug.....(all it needs drywalled)
and viola .its a rec room now! House value goes up 10k! WIN/WIN/WIN
