I rather receive my salary in fiat than bitcoins, so i don't need to exchange my salary to fiat again if i received it in bitcoin. In my country there is no shop that accept bitcoin, so i rather pick in fiat.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Exactly, what's the use of your salary if you can't use it to buy your food or shop using it...Which for bitcoin it is still not possible since some countries only have few shops and some even don't have, lucky that we have exchanges that caters this when we have to shop online...  Smiley

Even if you dont have  merchants on your country you could  still  exchange your  bitcoin into  fiat anytime but  it would be a quite hassle for us compared  on  spending it directly.   Thats why most people wouldnt risk to recieve  bitcoin as  their salary because of  these adoption  problems  to a certain country or place.

I would like of course, but isn't possible. Too less employers pay salary in bitcoins. My work will never be payed this way.

I will happy to receive my salary in BTC. I would exchange the BTC to local currency and use it for my expense and would save the rest. Since the price has started to grow now, I would hold the rest of the bitcoins and sell or exchange when the price goes high at the end of this year or in 2017. I am sure this will benefit me with more profit. Its kind of a business done with my salary.
I wander what you gonna do if your salary will be 1 BTC and the price for bitcoin will fall down from 600$ to 1$? You cannot say that something like that can't happen for sure. I would like to have salary in bitcoin only if I would work in some bitcoin project. Like I work for a campaign today and get payment in bitcoins.

The real problem there is the inconvenience, imagine your boss buying bitcoin just to pay you and I think they won't do that. Another thing is on your side, if you receive it you have no choice but to convert it back to  fiat which is another inconvenience. Lucky if all your transactions are done online, since you could really use it, but most of the time you pay things in real life which only accept fiat.

Yeah that is a catch, if bitcoin price falls down to an extreme level in future then it will become hard to manage even basic expenses and it will never allow you to save money for future.

If you are a BTC lover, would you one day like to get your paycheck 100% in BTC?

Personally I won't. Because many facilities in my area doesn't support BTC payment. Smiley I do not mind receiving, say, 20% of my pay in BTC denomination.

Like most people here I would like to receive a percentage of my pay in bitcoin. Unless of course we get to a point where I can pay my rent and utilities in bitcoin. Then I would be happy with receiving just bitcoin.

I wouldn't like to receive my salary in bitcoin because receiving your salary in an unstable currency sounds kinda risky.
I wouldn't like it to have parts of my salary lost if I'm unlucky i'd rather just invest fiat manually into bitcoin.

That's a right decision, investing fiat in bitcoin can be profitable in long run but we cannot afford to put our monthly income at risk by accepting salary in bitcoins as price may fall in coming years.

I used to receive a salary in Bitcoin.

I was a Bitcoin journalist for an exchange and crypto site. I actually really miss it.

Crypto was created to liberate the individual. Decentralisation matters.

I am happy to know that, you are receiving your salary into bitcoins, i think you are first person in this thread, actually if we get our salary into bitcoins, than i don't think that it is a problem with us, but only one thing is that majority countries are not accepted bitcoin in official level, so thats why we can't get our salary in bitcoin.

I think that I would like to have a part of my salary paid in bitcoins.
About 25%. That way I would not have to convert fiat into bitcoins and had always a few btc lef to buy me whatever I want.
And what I do not use in a month would come onto my savings wallet.

Maybe go back and read a few more pages, granted there is only about 1-2 genuine posts per page and the rest are just sig spam but there is a few members on this forum that get paid in bitcoin and quite a few of them have responded, myself included.

It seems as though you misread the post you quoted, Namiks says he used to be paid in bitcoin.

Well considering the volatility involved int btc, hardly people would like to get all payment in btc. yes you can pay a part in btc and rest in cheque.  Unless you also get an assurance form the payer who gets it sold your btc at the predecided rate during the payment date so you can go with the btc as a payment

Yes, I would like to receive my salary in BTC. This way, I don't have to worry about getting held up or getting snatched when I get my salary. All of my salary would be in my Bitcoin wallet and even if my phone gets stolen, my funds are all secure. Additionally, this way I would have the privilege of not having a big percentage of my salary taken away from me because of that income tax law that the government has made.

Yes and there is a full possibility that price of bitcoin will be higher if future as more people will start using it which will take adoption to higher level which will have positive impact on its price.
