When reading the Op it looks like they have ways to know it was you who made the deposit and thus have you covered, not only that but the email you provided will also be more proof on top of your IP and signed message from BTC address. So have little concern but hopefully that is upgraded soon.

Although it is very true that the devs have a lot of things covered to safeguard us, i hope that the 2factors will come in as a feature to protect the account better. I know i can trust the devs to help me get back the account but it will still be troublesome to take days to recover it.

No need for you to have gone to that extreme. Why not leave some on moneypot and invest a little here. Putting all your eggs in one basket is not recommended for any investment. Crypto or otherwise.
Just keep some btc at both and earn profits from both, It's not like moneypot is going anywhere soon and spreading out your investments gives you a much better chance of locking in a strong roi.
