Both will exist. It is not too late. You can join till 12th October but your average number of coins will be less. Snap begins today at 19:00 hours.

What I don't understand: by launching Ardor the way you have done now, it will give the initial stakes from NXT an equal advantage in Ardor. Wasn't that the major "problem" a lot of people had/have with NXT (the initial distribution). Aren't you now 1 on 1 transferring that "problem"?

Not at all.
As you may have noticed, we've seen quite a few stakeholders offloading Nxt.
They have found an exit point they felt happy with which is good for the distribution and which we are very happy with.

Your example also seems to imply a static distribution over two and a half years, which is simply not true.
We've seen multiple stakeholders offload over the years, most visibly during the middle of last year when we had a downward pressure for a few months when an initial stakeholder kept selling around the 3000-4000 mark.

Ardor will start with a much improved distribution exactly due to this method.

I would also argue that there is no other way short of disenfranchising any current Nxt holders (which is a much larger group than the initial stakeholders. They consist of people who invested and traded for 2,5 years), which would be infinitely more destructive: we'd be breaching investor trust, which the devs refuse to do.

The same as the total current supply of Nxt: 998,999,999 (Some Nxt have been burned over the years and cannot be converted to ARDR)

Nxt will continue, alongside Ardor.

No, you are not late. Even during the snapshot you can still enter, although due to the averaging, you will receive progressively less ARDR. Smiley

What did cause Nxt to lose so much value over the last couple of years? (honest question, no smartass)
There seems to be a large disinterest for some reason that sticks.
Too me Nxt was and still IS, one of the best and most versatile crypto networks out there.

What will make Ardor a succes in the long run? Not your classic: Rise...downtrend....smaller uptrend.....long period of decline.

if you hold for 90 days you get 100%
if you hold for 10 days, you get 100% / (90 / 10)=11.1%
if you hold for 25 days, you get 100% / (90 / 25)=27.7%

Holding is enough.
The Ardor distribution is not linked in any way to forging.

It was said Bittrex and Poloniex will distribute Ardor to exchange NXT holders. How is that possible? Will they also take snapshots of exchange accounts every hour?
