To trade Ardor after October 12th you will need to install Nxt wallet 1.10.2, it has a built-in asset exchange. All the asset trading happens there. Polo can add a trading pair for Ardor too if they deem it profitable.

i see it in the wallet but havent use it, do a fresh sync and it has been 20 hours now and only about 30% of the blocks downloaded.
is there any way to speed up the syncing? glad i saw this thread when the price was around 1700sat

You can download the bootstrap file from www.peerexplorer.com
Using 1.10.2 you should be able to use the wallet in the Roaming Client mode even though blockchain isn't fully downloaded.
Don't try to trade Ardor yet, it will only be possible on October 12th when distribution is over.

All is communicated so it is not good to change it. Besides that, its better to have a long testing period where the Coredevs, community and the to become new Child Chain owners can test really good so the mainnet launch will be great.

NXT devs are usually pretty accurate with ETAs. When they say it's Q3 2017 - it'll be released at that time and will be safe to use after substantial testing. It's no toy software, remember.

But I believe your signiture is from your own heart. I'm talking about having hundreds of accounts representing ARDOR. It just seems like ARDOR should be one of the main coins being talked about, like ICONOMI and ANTSHARES, but it's not.

There's been a lot of questions coming back repeatedly, which isn't really bad in my opinion as it indicates that there's new people coming in. However, there are a few misconceptions going around so we're creating this in order to clear some things up. What is Ardor?
Ardor is a scalable blockchain platform with child chains. With it, people can use blockchain technology without having to build things from scratch. In addition, they will be able to trade with other child chains on the platform. Since it is built with Nxt technology, the features of Nxt, like Assets, Messaging, and Voting, will be available on the child chains.

Will Nxt Die?
No. Nxt will be supported by the core developers for at least a year after the launch of Ardor and will most likely be supported beyond that.
When will Ardor Launch?
Ardor is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of 2017. The distribution after the snapshot will be of assets that represent the Ardor tokens that you will get when Ardor launches. These tokens can be traded on the Asset Exchange of Nxt after they are issued, which will be at block 1,000,000 (around October 13th).


Will I get ARDR if my NXT is on an exchange?
We have a written confirmation from BTC38, Poloniex, and Bittrex that they will be participating in the snapshot and will be distributing the tokens.

What is IGNIS?
IGNIS will be the first child chain of Ardor.

How do I get IGNIS Tokens?
Before the launch of Ardor, there will be a one-time snapshot to all accounts with NXT. You will receive 50% of whatever amount of NXT you have at that time. Like with the snapshotting for ARDR, no NXT will be burned.

Do I Need to Have Ardor Tokens (ARDR) to get IGNIS Tokens?
No. The only determining factor of the amount of IGNIS Tokens you'll get is the amount of NXT you have.

What Will Happen to My Assets on Nxt?
It all depends on the Asset issuer if they choose to stay on Nxt or move on to Ardor. It will not be automatic.

What Will Happen to My Monetary System Tokens?
Like Assets, it depends on the issuer of the MS Token on what they would want to do. Also like Assets, this will not be automatic.

I hope you're right. I really do because I hold quite a few NXT. Word on the street is that the NXT devs want out of NXT. Not sure if this is just FUD, but NXT devs need to respond to these rumors.

Take the movement of the price of NXT as a clue. Do you think the crash was made all by the speculators outside the NXT community? No. Some of the speculators want to get as much Ardor as they can so they need to hold NXT. There might also be people from inside the NXT community who made the exit. Of course this is only a speculation from my part but it is not entirely impossible.

If the rumors you heard are true then the idea of Ardor could be an exit scheme by the development team of NXT.
