Bitcoin has potencial and it will grow over the next months soo if you had invested on the low you are already in proof, if not well just wait the results will come.
I think while prices are still low bitcoin. and you already know and predict that prices will continue to grow into the future. why do not you try to start to collect and buy some bitcoin. the current price is still relatively cheap. because it is still under $ 600. Do not waste this time dude

many people are predicting that prices will reach $ 1,000 bitcoin again in a few years. sometime but I also believe that the price someday. will definitely be back to $ 1,000. So before that happens, and especially at this time prices have decreased. seems like buying now is the right time

For me, this is kind of a huge investment, but should I actually do it?

What are the risks of doing this?

O/P

As long as your 1000 euros are not money that you NEED anytime soon (or, that you can afford to lose), then, yes, buying BTC is a great speculation.  Give it time, and do not become discouraged, at least so discouraged that you might sell at the wrong time.

I agree with the general idea here that BTC price will settle in well over $1000 (maybe even €2000) given some time.

Patience...  And keep learning about BTC!

I hesitantly say that it is a good investment, but don't go buying based off of what I say. It's your money, you do whatever you want to do.

As for the risks, the market is quite volatile, so your investment can go down unexpectedly. If you watch the markets and keep in-tune with the news, then it might be safer and at less risk, but that is a big time commitment and some news doesn't reach your first. Also make sure to read up on security procedures to keep your investment safe. I recommend you go read some articles on the risks of Bitcoin mining.

You are the only one who can decide for yourself.  If that €1000 is just an excess or an extra then you can invest it in buying bitcoins.  You may also want to spend it on some investment like buying stocks or mutual funds.  We never know how long or what would be the performance of bitcoin in the market in the next days, months, and years to come.

just do it. everyone knows bitcoin is legit to invest.
because of the price is fluctuative, you can just hold it and wait for the good price to sell and make some profit.

bitcoin can be a good way to diversify your portfolio, but certainly shouldn’t be the only investment you hold.
While it’s a scary thing to say, bitcoin could go to $10,000 or it could go to $0. Unless you’re tracking it carefully, it’s better to buy and hold a small amount with a long-term perspective.

I would have thought that there is more risk investing in bitcoin companies than there is in the price of bitcoin dropping big overnight.
Buy and hold i would recommend,  but also get used to spending btc rather than fiat where possible.

Yep, make sure that those money are excess or just for the investment and that you would not mind if its gone.  Investing is a risk but a risk means income.  Since we knows the capability of btc price, if it goes well as time goes by, you might be the luckiest guy.

The price of bitcoin per piece is still high. Better wait for it to drop its value so you can have more bitcoins and keep it until it rises. Im sure in months or weeks the price will hike. This is also risky coz you cant predict when it drops or rises its value. Keep bitcoins is investment but i suggest you to invest it to a reputable investment sites so you can still earn while waiting for its price to rise.

I do not think the bitcoin price at $590 is high. It is undervalued by 20%. The fair value would be around $700.

Exactly, and I remember a another rule in investment "Do not out your egg in one basket." meaning you diversify it. Aside from bitcoin, you can invest in stocks and bonds,Equities etc.

Definitely Yes, but only if you have the capacity to hold it for a long time like 7-8 years. Otherwise the amount is really huge to invest.

Bitcoin gives a really nice return for long term only. If you are thinking of investing for 2-3 years, better choose any conventional investment like bank deposit or mutual fund.

That is right. In the short term, the bitcoin could go down. We do not see any news to drive up the price very soon.

One bad news is that the bitcoin.org cannot make sure the bitcoin core client on its website is the right software.

You are doing very huge investment, so be ready to take huge risk, But in my point of view, now bitcoin is going down, so better is that buy it and hold it, because in the end of this year, bitcoin would be go up, than you should sell your bitcoins, in this way you can make a good profit and also without any hard working.
