I know how it looks but what if hashocean do pay people tonight and don't take this opportunity to exit the scam, what if there telling the truth, I suppose people will know by tomorrow if they received there payments or not

You can better not spend your time on cloudmining websites, just save your money in your wallet.
Then you know for sure that you will not lose your money thanks to these idiots.

I see that a lot of people are taking advantage of people losses and advertising for other services. So , any reply off topic or advertising other services (mostly cloud mining) will get reported.

genesis-mining.com is also down!!!!

Maintenance mode is a bit different than down.. I can't even ping hashocean.com anymore. Multiple sites at once all part of the same market? Why all go out at once? Seems off to me, Genesis has such a different format than hashocean and it's lookalikes that I'd be pretty surprised to find they're run by the same people..

EDIT Genesis appears to be up once again.. I wonder if some of that collateral loss of trust I mentioned had to do with their downtime. I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending a cloud mining company at this time obviously but I have always considered them to be one of very few "good guys".

Wow...I've been away for over a year due to health issues. I *just* logged into HashOcean the day
before yesterday and withdrew BTC I had accumulated (about 0.2 BTC).

Looks like I may have dodged a bullet on that one.

Kind of expected IMHO, buying into cloud mining is a one way ticket to loss of principal.

I doubt genesis mining will run away that simply, the owner is known and will be probably jailed in case

To be truthful (and at the risk of ire) I'm not convinced of the wisdom of buying into the exchange in your Sig either.. YoBit has been keeping me from my coins there for some time and isn't showing any signs of letting me have them any time soon.. :-/ But there's a whole different thread for that topic. VERY few good guys in crypto, gotta watch your back always and never work with more cash than you're willing to lose.

We should start a investigation website to track any known information we can get about these web sites that scam people. Names, Adresses, Phone, Email and any other info to track them down. If they can be found. they can be punished. One way or another.  Also verify and track who lost money and how much. Just in case we can recover funds.
