My alternative opinion. As would I, if I were the owner of the HO, and now a rich owner of HO:
Having this amount of money and are robbed of so many people, hard to just close the service and the abyss. To do so, that would be thousands of people who were you deceived, not looking for solutions or did not Express their dissatisfaction. Having a lot of money and using my brain, I would have played one big spectacle. Variations a lot. But as one of them is the story about a group of hackers who in the name of goodness are trying to find ways to solve problems and bring the villain to clean water. This is a good seed. None of the deceived cannot do anything for themselves, how and where you will look for the perpetrators of the hoax? Any way and anywhere. But "hackers" is some hope. Now all has ceased to be indignant and every day to view whois and supposedly super important to find information and share it, which is supposedly someone from us will help. Now I hope all the hackers (I don't, I already accepted the fact that the money will not return and I lost ~1200 USD). What if the "hackers" it's a duck? After a while they will say - we've been unable to find and solve? All deceived and then finally get used to the idea of losing money will cease to discuss the incident and go about their business. After all, if HACKERS are unable to do anything, then none of us can, right? This idea is laid in this global deception, if "hackers" do in concert with the HO.

These scammers are in some exotic island right now partying with hookers and alcohol and laughing out loud at all the people stupidity and greed who invest money there and made these scammers a net amount of more than 3.5 mln USD. This is by far the biggest bitcoin scam of history. I hope people have learned from their mistakes but I am sure as soon as some other identical ponzi like Hashocean will appear a lot of people will rush to deposit there. Its just the way it is, we can warn as much as we can but people will still invest in these sites.

A lot of people have stepped in into their services and now are getting scammed, I must say that I think this could you have see from miles away.
All these cloudmining websites are mostly ponzi's and its just a waste of time right now.

Some people don't learn until it's too late.
Now they are getting angry about what happened even though it's their own fault of risking their money to it.

You are right about that, people do not think about it and just blindly invest into the bitcoin and that is just bad in my eyes.
I think its way better to just stop with investing on such websites its wasted money...

I very much doubt that you'll see a penny of your funds that you invested into a ponzi ever again, so don't raise your hopes, however harsh that may sound. They're long gone and if it's anyone's fault, it's yours. Learn from this mistake and move on.

Definitely it is the mistake of the users who invested in this ponzi ''clown'' mining but the scammers have to pay their bad movement, hope they will get jailed

Yup. Mostly, it will end in this situation:

The investor will receive a 'hack attack to the clown company' news and shot myself in the knee.

Yeah, if the business model is rigged, then small or big you will lose either way.
Cloud mining has a business model where only the company (middle man) can profit. The problem is there are too many aspects nobody can controll

similar company , similar name, and similar scheme when their claim that they are under attack i know the end is happening.
this is the end of cloud mining era, noone should believe in cloudmining service anymore.
pbmining, hashprofit, hashocean possibly ran by the same group/same person.

Greed

People not investigated before investing many bitcoins.

Had many US investors, but none of these US investors was up to san francisco to confirm hashocean had data center there.

Just invested $25.000, others made loans worth $75.000 and invested in hashocean had someone who sold home and motorcycle and invested in hashocean.

Nobody wanted to know:

-Headquarters this company

-Who were the owners of this company.
