I never received bitcoin randomly or accidentally. All the bitcoin i get is from signature campaign or trading altcoin. It would be great if random someone throw me a big amount of BTC And if i do get that big amount of BTC am sure I'll use it to put up an online store that accept bitcoin to support bitcoin usage.

I have only received small "salt" amounts that looked like advertising spam but I wouldn't mind a larger sum. Same here but my friend actually reached 0.2 btc out of nowhere and I think it's a mistake but are addresses that close to eachother that one typing error could send it to a different person? Anyways I'm waiting eagerly on those million bitcoins to be send to my address acccidently there is this thing called base58 checksum which has to be correct for the address and to my knowledge changing one letter of your bitcoin address would make that checksum wrong. so in other words there is no address that only differ in one or two letters so you can accidentally send to a wrong address. although I would to see your friends address and the similar address to be proven wrong but I doubt that there were small difference between the addresses.

has it ever happened to u that u just had ur wallet opened and suddenly some BTC arrived out of nowhere?
like someone sent it to the wrong address or something?
like suddenly 0.3777 BTC are rolling in but u don't know who sent it, why it was sent and what it is all about?
~CfA~
These scenarios or situation is nearly impossible to happen but i do heard of those bitcoins that have been accidentally transferred to another wallet since the possibility of commiting mistake is there. We sometimes actually do put a wrong address sometimes or on rare cases thats why some would never expect to recieve bitcoin nowhere.

I have never received randomly any bitcoin. Once I thought it was very random but then I actually forget that I participated into a giveaway. I think most people here who said they did receive also forgot about a giveaway those are usually very small amounts.

Oh. Just like what happened to me when I am browsing different kind of job to earn bitcoin. I saw one that you will just play videos and they pay you some satoshis. I didnt even think that it will pay so I just stopped after hitting the payout mark. When I receive the payment I didnt realize it came from there.

yes once i got 0.4btc on satoshimines randomly.... i deposited 0.17btc there ...then i updated the balance there were 0.4 btc credited in my account...then later 0.17btc also arrived...that happened 5-6 months ago
You were lucky, as such things occur either due to errors in address or by the mistake of the sending entity. It happens sometimes that people got some small satoshis in their accounts for no reasons. If the transfer to the purse took place by chance, then maybe it is a virus , for the attempted theft of your money .

I always dreaming about this !
But as I know it's impossible since when people copying address, they already aware that the address is the correct one. Let say even your child touch your wallet but they still can't send to anyone ,right ?

Yeah and I think when people were new to bitcoins at that time they have committed that mistake but after spending time with it now people check twice or thrice before sending, so now we cannot expect that miracle will happen.

No. If I were to receive Bitcoin randomly I will send it back to the owner if the person somehow get back to me. Anyway, my address is a vanity address, it is very easy to find me. Which in turn also mean that it is very hard for someone to send wrongly to a vanity address.
I once dreamed of receiving 5 Bitcoin in my wallet (the dream specifically pictured Mycelium and my phone) however.
Honestly not all people who can receive high amount of bitcoin almost 70% of people not thinking to send it back to owner who send bitcoin accidentally.. but same here if i am one of who receive bitcoin from unknown person..

I did received Bitcoin 3 times accidentally every 2 weeks. I don't know if this is accidentally sent to me or someone is helping me but i didn't received any message from anyone.
oh wow, i guess you were really lucky about it, as far as i remember i have never received any money out of the accidents because i dont give my btc address to anyone He is lucky that he receive bitcoins without knowing where it from.. I never experience it but maybe in the future i will experience it if i receive 5 btc or even 1 btc in my address.. I think he is not receiving them by mistake, maybe he has registered on some faucet site which gives out profit every week. Or maybe he has registered on some sort of affiliate site or social site which shares the profit every week, I remember many sites out there who do such things.

Yes, I have received bitcoin accidentally but it worth because I was involved in a deal that I got scammed together with a user here and after few months the real user (not the scammer) send back me the funds twice, so I didn't returned him but send to the user that we were scammed together, and I consider that I made a good move.
