Cheers Serraz and Khaos for the hard work and a great pool.

Would it be possible to get email notifications on payouts as well as workers that are down?

Any one know how people are getting such high hash rates? A quick calculation says that the top person would need over 140 7970's. They must have a very understanding wife...mine isn't down with the four 7970's I have Wink

I am just wondering what the best server would be for me to connect to?

I am a donor and living in Australia.
I seem to get a lot lower coins than what the estimate says on the Stats page, somewhere between half and 75%.

Hey Mate,

I also live in Australia. I reccomend using the US Stratum server as i seem to get the best connection from that as well as other Australian users.

PPLNS can vary on luck. If you do think there is a problem with the estimate i will defiantly take a look at it for you.

Cool, I switched back to stratum+tcp://stratum.give-me-ltc.com:3333 from the US Donor server.

If luck is in there that might be the problem.
I finally have the two computers fully set up and running since last night so will run for 24 hours and see how it comes out.

You cannot make a comparison on PPLNS with 24 hours. There is a more detailed description on how the PPLNS system works over at http://give-me-ltc.com/faq.

Thanks

Ok that makes sense Serraz, I have been in and out a bit as I get the computers setup and optimised.
Now one just went offline while I am at work...I knew I should have restarted it last night!
--> Edit: logmein.com to the rescue...computer crashed and I was able to hit it with a wake-on-lan and get it working again. yay!

This may help explain as well:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=39832

I joined this pool last night and trying to decide if it is a good one to stick with, so I was reading up on this payment style as well.  I guess I need to give it 2-5 days to really get a feel for how it works and the kind of payout I can expect.  Website is certainly well done and so far I am liking it...

I got  very high reject rate recently on pool-d:80 port,
the dashboard shows a total of 8% invalid:
Code:
Paid Shares [All submitted shares from previous rounds which are already accounted and paid for.]
Valid (Paid):
161782
Invalid (not paid):
12977 (8%)

the rejects usually starts from a "LONGPOLL from pool 0 requested work restart" message,
and ends after a "New block detected on network before longpoll" message,
the following are snapshots of cgminer:

You may need to restart you miner for the getwork update to take affect. Also i suggest you use stratum. If you want me to take a look at your config please email it to me.

I was getting a lot of stales last night as well - I changed over to stratum and they went down considerably..

I need to tweak my rigs still.. they report 2mh, 2mh, and 1.2mh.. yet my workers only report a total of 4300kh on the site..

I restarted several times, and tried 443 port, the problem remains,
I'm now using 3333 port, it seems ok.
Can I use port 80/443 with stratum?

I also has some issues originally using GUIminer with Reaper.  Tried a few of the different hosts including some of the donation only ones.  Still saw a larger than comfortable stale/invalid share count.  Being pretty new to the scene (LOL) I decided to check out the Stratum instructions in more detail.

Most of this is already explained on this page
http://give-me-ltc.com/faq

But it might be worth repeating here for others who haven't found it.

1.   Download the file for Windows http://give-me-ltc.com/config-files/stratum_proxy.exe
2.   Save the files to C:\proxy\Stratum_proxy.exe
3.   Open a command prompt window (start >> run >> cmd)
4.   Browse to c:\proxy in the command prompt window
5.   Copy this command exactly and right click and select paste in the command prompt:  stratum_proxy.exe -pa scrypt -o stratum.give-me-ltc.com -p 3333
6.   Minimize the command prompt window (DO NOT CLOSE)
7.   Open GUIMiner
8.   For Host use 127.0.0.1
9.   For port use 8332
10. Enter your username and password from the give-me-ltc website for your worker(s)
11. Enter the mining settings for your card
12. Push start mining
13. Enjoy!

Have we ever figured out why income is either as expected or below, but never above expected like every other PPLNS pool I've been part of?  I had to take my miners away from this pool due to this inconsistancy.  And no this isn't over 24 hours.  I stayed nearly a week.  I've mined a lot of PPLNS so I understand how it works.  Even the numbers on the graphs didn't make any sense.

If you read in the news section. There was an issue with the getwork a while back where everything was slowed down causing long rounds. We have since upgraded the getwork and so far things seem to be as they should be. Still got a close eye on it.

There seems to be an issue with the auto pay.  Myself and a few others in pool chat confirmed that the threshold was reached but the auto payment didn't process.  I am not too worried about it since my auto pay limit is set to 3 LTC but wanted to put up something for the pool admins to see.  They may already know about it but wanted to put something here to make sure.

Thanks!
