What's happening with this coin, what's the reason for this sudden sharp increase in its price when overall the entire crypto market has been down in red for past 2-3 weeks? An artificial pump going on?

Pump or not current price will be the new bottom I hope. Good thing about POS coin is most investors tend to hold coins because of the stake. More coins you have more stake you'll get. It prevents the market dump.

I’m interested in staking but honestly have not wrapped my head around the network security implications. It’s basically an hdmi dongle with a basic processor. Runs windows on a tv. Buy a cheap wireless keyboard and you’re gtg

Where do we see this coin in 2 years? Seems like the ball is finally rolling and things and getting done. Not much progression In the last 4 years though. Hoping for a break through, we need more communication and updates on Twitter more often. I have about 10k TES coins but not much movement (until the last few weeks)

1)in 1st page RPC port: 1857 in official coin website under specifications RPC port: 7685, I remeber this mistake was in 2014 year too.
2)in 1st page here there as other IP's than in official page configuration file. How can we understand this things?
3)in ofiicial page there is an "HOW TO GET YOUR WALLET SYNC & STAKING ASAP.pdf" file which is telling us to encrypt the walllet (WHY?Huh?) Why we need to encrypt the wallet in order to sync it? This is some new feature in cryptoworld??? Now I did what they wrote in this stupid instrictions and now I even don't have my old coins in Stake mode! Why??? Now how can I decrypt the wallet?Huh

I believe that you have two options:
1. Temporarily unlock the wallet by typing in console walletpassphrase YourPassphrase 9999999
2. Send coins to a new wallet: Close the wallet. Backup and delete wallet.dat. Start the wallet (it will create new empty unencrypted wallet) and obtain new deposit address. Close the wallet. Backup and replace wallet.dat with the old one. Open wallet and send coins to the new address. Close wallet and replace wallet.dat with the new one. Start the wallet. If you have two computers, it would be much easier. Off course, do it at your own risk Smiley

Peace to all

My apology for being off topic but is there any way to get a QR code of my receiving address?
When I tried to use the menu shortcut for it it didn't do anything, yet. On Windows 10.
Do you think its because the wallet hasn't synced and it might work after 24 hours.

Thank you

Did you try to use the old bootstrap? I have run the new wallet and it has synchronized very quickly.

I am using v3.4 wallet and it is in sync. However, the click on "Show QR code" does not produce anything.

Finally I synced my wallet again. This is how I made it.

1. Back up or copy paste your wallet.dat somewhere in safe place. (if there's any coins in your wallet)
2. Delete everything except wallet.dat and conf file in teslacoin folder.
3. Download latest teslacoin wallet and start the wallet then close it.
4. Download latest bootstrap and unzip it. Copy paste the bootstrap files in teslacoin folder and replace them. Download bootstrap from here. https://mega.nz/#!FK52Rb7b!0qD8pHAtJZvMMukCKfc3XORFapB7RG9oET6l8rfcO_I
5. Start the teslacoin wallet and unlock it. If  there's no connection use this conf file. https://ufile.io/8buzr
6. Wait for few hours to sync. If you see coins are missing type this on console window: checkwallet
If it show misspent coins type: repairwallet
7. Make sure always make a at least two copy of wallet.dat before using new bootstrap and wallet.

Once you have your wallet open for 24 hours, your coins starts staking.
That means they start compiting with other coins to be the ones winning the newly created coins.
As it works in PoW, if you have 1% of the mining power you will win 1% of the mined coins. Same is in PoS.

what if i get a connection lost for example? so the 24 hours  starts again from 0?

It won't start all over again.

SUGGESTION: Put Teslacoin in coinimi wallet if posible? Or on the ledger nano s?

I think saving your wallet.dat on flash disk and printing private key on paper is fine. Private key is most important. You can import your coins even without wallet.dat anywhere in the world. I saw many horror stories about third party wallets on reddit.

wallaet stucks at "blocks" : 1389510
"version" : "v3.3.0.0-gdf9d55a-Teslacoin"
used bootstrap, checkwallet, repairwallet, no sync yet, whole night wallet is downloading something at speed 0.3-1Mbps but not blocks! So I still can't repair my old coins!

What's your wallet address?
I have 5 wallet adresses and 99% of my coins still in stake mode. Why? And the wallet is still downloading at 450kbps. And I have tried again checkwallet and repairwallet commands, the answer from wallet was "true". I'm still stuck at block "blocks" : 1389510, and downloading and downloading! debug.log is changing and peers.dat in debug, latest what can I see:
"ERROR: CheckProofOfStake() : INFO: check kernel failed on coinstake 9a7ae6ac9b9d0fb3d025d793036342c053f543806edc65417f71882d1988983a, hashProof=7504f834bca1edbcffdc209006a9d500e47a6ed812bb359ea3623950e2bc3094

I am asking about the 65,000 TES bounty, and wondering why no one else is. Also, what is this jibberish about energy? There are things called Patents and Patent Laws owned by Texas based oil oligarchies that stand in our way!

You can't patent energy, that's utter nonsense.
